Position Responsibilities:
This role will focus on customers in the 400+ employee market segment.
Responsible for the profitable management of a portfolio of clients, maintain and strengthen relationships with consultants/advisors, and work closely with them to ensure client happiness.
Meet annual financial, growth and profitability objectives for your assigned block of business.
Develop and grow existing client and consultant/advisor relationships by delivering superior service, effectively communicate Manulife’s value proposition and products/services and represent Manulife professionally in client-facing meetings.
Keep clients and consultants/advisors advised on changes and have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of our products, services and workflows both internally and within the regional office environment.
Building and strengthening existing client and consultant/advisor relationships within the region.
Achieving annual sales, persistency, growth and profitability objectives (included above)
Required Qualifications:
Undergrad degree or diploma.
Driver’s license and flexibility to travel.
Shown success in a similar role at Manulife, with another Insurer, or the Group Benefits industry.
Strong customer focus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to negotiate and influence effectively throughout the organization
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Excellent mathematical skills
Ability to think strategically and present innovative solutions to clients and consultants/advisors
Outstanding project management skills and ability to balance multiple exciting priorities
Positive relationship building and interpersonal skills together with strong active listening skills; an ambitious approach is necessary for this role
Proven ability to take initiative, be a strong self-manager and display integrity
Willingness to develop as an expert in Group Benefit strategies
CEBS Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation or ability to attain within 3 years
PC skills on internet, email and Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and PowerPoint
