Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of MapleStack (maplestack.ca), including its emails and the MapleStack app in ChatGPT and Claude (together, the "Service"), provided by OLIHA.DEV ("Company"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

MapleStack is a free job board for jobs in Canada. Most listings are collected from employers' career pages; some are posted by employers directly. You apply on the employer's own site: MapleStack is not part of any hiring process and does not receive or forward applications.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. The Service is not available to any users suspended by Company.

3. Accounts

Some features, such as job alerts and posting or promoting a job, need an account. You agree to give accurate information when you register and are responsible for all activity under your account. Tell us at once about any unauthorized use. Company will not be liable for any loss or damages arising from unauthorized use of your account.

4. Job listings

Company does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or availability of any job listing, including salaries, which are shown as the employer states them. A job may close or change before MapleStack reflects it. Employers are solely responsible for their listings. Check a job with the employer before you act on it, and report a wrong or closed listing to [email protected].

5. Employers

Employers can post jobs, ask MapleStack to index their career page at no charge, and buy promoted placement for a job. You are responsible for the content of what you post and for following applicable law, including employment and human rights law. Company may decline, edit or remove any listing that is inaccurate, unlawful or breaches these Terms. A promoted listing receives the placement on the MapleStack website and in the daily digest described at purchase; promotion does not change how a job ranks in the MapleStack app in ChatGPT and Claude.

6. Emails

We send the daily jobs digest and job alerts only when you ask for them, and the digest only after you confirm by email. Every email has an unsubscribe link. How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy.

7. The MapleStack app in ChatGPT and Claude

The app searches MapleStack's listings and shows job details inside those assistants. Your use of ChatGPT or Claude is governed by OpenAI's or Anthropic's terms. An assistant may summarize a job inaccurately: check the job's page on MapleStack, and the employer's posting, before you apply.

8. Use of the Service

Company grants you a limited, revocable license to use the Service solely for purposes permitted under these Terms. You agree not to access, reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, re-sell, visit, or otherwise exploit the Service for any commercial purpose without Company's express written consent, and not to collect listings in bulk by automated means, including through the app.

9. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you post, upload, or submit to the Service. By posting content, you grant Company a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, copy, modify, distribute, publish, and process the content solely to the extent necessary to provide the Service.

10. Service Availability

Company will make reasonable efforts to keep the Service operational but is not liable for any outages affecting availability. Company reserves the right to suspend or cease providing the Service, or any part of it including the app, at any time.

11. Intellectual Property

The Service content, trademarks and logos are the property of Company or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may not use, copy, distribute or create derivative works without Company's express written consent.

12. Fees

Job search, emails and the app are free. Employers pay for promoted placement:

  • Service Fees: the fee is shown at purchase or set out in a signed agreement between you and Company. Payment is made in advance, through Stripe or as agreed in writing.
  • Term: a promotion runs for the period shown at purchase and does not renew automatically. No further charges are made unless you buy another promotion.
  • Price Changes: Company may change its fees at any time; a change does not affect a promotion already bought.
  • Taxes: fees do not include any taxes, levies, duties, or similar governmental assessments of any nature ("Taxes"). You are responsible for paying all Taxes associated with your purchases. If Company has the legal obligation to pay or collect Taxes for which you are responsible, we will invoice you and you will pay that amount unless you provide a valid tax exemption certificate authorized by the appropriate taxing authority.
  • Refund Policy: except as required by law, all fees are non-refundable. Company may, at its sole discretion, offer a refund within 30 days of the original purchase date.

13. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE AND CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. COMPANY DISCLAIMS ALL REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING AS TO ACCURACY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

14. Limitation of Liability

COMPANY WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. COMPANY'S TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED CANADIAN DOLLARS ($100) OR 50% OF THE AMOUNT PAID TO COMPANY IN THE PAST YEAR.

15. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Company from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs or expenses (including attorneys fees) arising from: (1) your use of the Service; (2) your violation of these Terms; or (3) your violation of any third party rights.

16. Termination

Company may terminate your right to use the Service at any time upon notice. All provisions survive termination of your right to use the Service.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed in accordance with the laws of Ontario, Canada without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Ontario, Canada.

18. Changes to Terms

Company may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on the Service with a new date at the top. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
