What You’ll Be Doing

The key functions of this role are to offload the shipment from trucks, decant pallets onto racks, and expedite the loading process for Fresh Prep’s Delivery department. This individual will be responsible for: 

• Organizing and loading Fresh Prep orders onto rolling racks

• Moving the racks around in the cooler space to ensure they stay temperature controlled.

• Loading the truck with return bag pallets.

• Safely operating warehouse equipment to offload and load the trucks.

• Operate equipment in a safe manner, obeying all rules of the warehouse

• Communicate effectively with the driver team and co-workers both verbally and in written form

• Confirming racks that have been staged for drivers include all deliveries on their route

• Using Fresh Prep’s delivery software and accurately following directions therein

• Supporting drivers loading - ensuring idle time is kept to a minimum and that only those drivers whose racks are confirmed and staged are entering the loading area

• Pallet organizing according to shipping manifests.

What We Are Looking For

• High school diploma or GED

• You can read and interpret Google Sheets and use email and other computer applications

• You are confident communicating clearly with diverse individuals in a fast-paced environment

• You have an ability to implement new processes or strategies in Logistics

• You have the ability to talk to technical and non-technical individuals about your work

• You’re able to be flexible with timing, staying until the job is done - end times may vary depending on a variety of factors

• Working experience in Driving, Order Picking, or Shipping and Receiving roles preferred. Experience operating pallet jack and/or forklift is an asset.

• Able to communicate both verbally and in writing

• Basic mathematical skills

• Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently

• Attention to detail in all areas of work

• Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills

• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude

Working Conditions

• Manual dexterity required to use desktop computers and peripherals.

• Overtime as required

• Moving racks with materials on it and lifting up to 30-40  lbs will be required

• Work is performed in a combination of environments and temperatures, both indoors and outdoors

• This position may be exposed to elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes and oils

What You Can Expect

• Hourly Wage: $22.00 per hour

• Schedule of: 7:00AM - 5:00 PM Sundays, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Mondays, 7:00 AM - 1:00 PM Wednesdays
