About the Role

Fresh Prep is a Canadian sustainable meal kit delivery company serving locations all across Canada. We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will set up, run, and maintain our portioning and packaging machinery to ensure high-quality ingredients are packed safely and efficiently for our meal kits.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Set up, calibrate, operate, and clean single-use food portioning and packaging machines.

• Package food items according to weekly recipe specifications and staging finished goods for distribution.

• Maintain strict allergen segregation, conduct routine quality checks, and keep your station clean and compliant with food safety standards.

• Log daily output, inventory checks, and machine metrics using Google Sheets / Excel.

• Perform basic machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and end-of-shift station cleanup.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience operating or maintaining packaging/portioning machinery in a fast-paced environment (food or manufacturing preferred).

• Familiarity with basic spreadsheet data entry (Excel or Google Sheets).

• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs regularly and work comfortably on your feet in a cold production environment (0–4°C).

• Strong work ethic, great communication skills, and a commitment to showing up on time for your team.
