What you'll be doing

The Advanced Analytics and Insights team provides advanced analytical support and statistical insights to the broader Client Credit Risk Analytics group within CIBC Risk Management. As a Consultant, you’ll deliver impactful analytics, develop strategies, and drive enhanced business decisions on managing the retail delinquent portfolio. You’ll make an impact by championing a data-driven spirit within the team and across key stakeholders.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you’ll succeed

  • Analytical Mindset– Challenge the status quo through critical thinking and thoughtful analysis. Diagnose business operation environments and prudently test hypotheses to identify actionable insights.

  • Domain Knowledge-Well-versed of best practices and new discoveries in analytical fields, appropriately applying them to achieve team objectives. Knowledgeable  of economic trends and implications to develop consumer credit behavior insights.

  • Relationship Management – Foster working relationships with business partners to create a collaborative atmosphere. Cultivate new relationships aimed at creating solutions to common objectives.

  • People Leadership – Actively recognize the contributions of your team to foster a positive, collaborative and productive working environment. Lead and coach a successful analytics team, and help them identify opportunities to continue personal development.

  • Innovation – Create and foster an environment of innovation, brining new technologies, ideas and approaches to meet business objectives.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate experience in Advanced analytics in Risk management. Specifically modeling and advance math skills, working in SAS, AI, Tableau, Power BI, Databricks and Machine Learning.

  • You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems, and making sense of information. You're confident in your ability to communicate detailed information in an impactful way.

  • You embrace and champion change. You'll continuously evolve your thinking and the way you work in order to deliver your best.
