The opportunity:

Reporting to the Senior Wealth Advisor, Portfolio Manager at Lions Gate Private Wealth Counsel, the Associate supports the day-to-day operations of the practice by providing administrative, client service, and operational support. This role works closely with the Advisor and team members to ensure efficient processes, timely execution of tasks, and positive client experience.

The successful candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage competing priorities while exercising sound judgment and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Client Service & Relationship Support
    • Provide professional, timely, and responsive service to clients, serving as a key point of contact between clients, Advisors, and internal teams.
    • Support Advisors by coordinating meetings, preparing client materials, responding to inquiries, assisting with account-related requests, and providing approved account and transaction updates.
    • Track, coordinate, and follow up on client requests to ensure accurate and timely resolution.
  • Account Administration & Transaction Support
    • Open, maintain, and update client accounts, records, and documentation while ensuring accuracy and completeness.
    • Assist with account-related administrative activities, including the preparation, review, and processing of forms, electronic documentation, and client transactions in accordance with firm policies and licensing requirements.
    • Maintain accurate client files and records within applicable systems and databases.
  • Operational & Administrative Support
    • Provide administrative and operational support to Advisors and team members, including report preparation, correspondence, presentations, and other client-related materials.
    • Support day-to-day office operations, meeting coordination, document management, and other administrative activities as required.
    • Assist with reporting, data maintenance, process improvements, and special projects that enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Work independently to manage priorities while collaborating effectively with the broader team.
  • Compliance & Risk Management
    • Ensure all activities are completed in accordance with regulatory requirements, firm policies, and internal procedures.
    • Maintain the confidentiality and security of client information.
    • Collaborate with internal departments to support client service needs and operational requirements.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or similar field of study, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in wealth management, financial services industry, or customer service.
  • Industry licensing and designations are not required. However, experience with or an interest in pursuing industry credentials, such as Investment Representative (IR) or Registered Representative (RR) designation, would be considered an asset. Support and development opportunities may be available for the right candidate.
  • Proficiency with the MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Experience working with Croesus and Maximizer is considered an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, think critically, solve problems, and exercise sound judgment in decision-making.
  • Ability to analyze information from multiple sources, identify connections, and work through complex client and operational situations independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Professional, trustworthy, and dependable, with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn, develop new skills, and grow within the financial services industry.
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and ambiguity.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team.
  • Positive, relationship-oriented team player who values collaboration, supports colleagues, and contributes to a strong team culture.

Compensation & Benefits:

Range $45,000 - $55,000 annually.

This range represents Wellington-Altus' expected range of compensation for this position. Actual compensation will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role. Compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked.

Wellington-Altus' total compensation package for employees may also include discretionary bonuses as well as other perks and rewards. Wellington-Altus also offers health insurance, accident and life insurance, and other unique benefits per location.
