AE-RA-Tuteur / TA-RA-Tutor : $33.83 ou/or $53.31 (Sept. 2026 - Aug. 2027)

The academic year starts on September 1 and ends on August 31.

Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.

These rates do not included vacation pay nor statutory pay.

These rates will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified. Retro will be paid after the ratification.

Requirements and Nature of Work:

Lead the Language Enrichment for Teacherscomponentof the Student Teaching in English Program (STEP) for undergraduate students from Universidad del Atlántico, delivered at the University of Ottawa's Official Languages and Bilingualism Institute (OLBI).

This afternoon strand supports the academic and professional English participants will need as novice instructors, including giving instructions, checking understanding, managing online classes in English, delivering feedback, and using pedagogical vocabulary with confidence. The teaching assistant will support the work of course instructors by facilitating practical, interactive sessions that connect directly to the morning streams, reinforce participants' ability to carry out teaching techniques in English, and contribute to a coherent, integrated four-skills program with emphasis on formative feedback and reflective practice.

Comments:This course is offered exclusively on the University of Ottawa campus and requires in-person instruction.

Course Dates:November 2 - December 18, 2026

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 14:30 - 16:00
