ResponsibilitiesAn Analyst/Associate– Sourcing Manager for HR category within Société Générale (“SG”) Americas Sourcing Department supports the overall goals of the Global Sourcing Department in Paris (“ACHA/DIR”) to optimize and control SG’s cost structure while mitigating commercial, operational, and legal risks.This role operates as a strategic partner to senior HR, COO, and business leadership, with primary responsibility for the Human Resources sourcing category across the Americas (Primarily US and Canada).The individual is responsible for defining and executing category strategies, managing supplier relationships, and delivering measurable value through cost optimization, service improvement, and risk mitigation.The position requires an experienced sourcing professional with knowledge of financial services, preferably supporting investment banking businesses and on Human Resource related purchases (including contingent labor, recruitment, benefits, learning & development, payroll, and HR technology platforms) and knowledge in commercial and contractual structures. Additionally, the individual is required to influence senior stakeholders level and operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIESDay to day responsibilities include but not limited to:The candidate for this role will primarily be managing the Human Resources category of spend and may, on a project-by-project basis, be required to address other categories dependent on aptitude and capabilities.Strategic Sourcing & Category ManagementLead end-to-end strategic category management for Human Resources spend by analyzing business requirements, spend data, and market dynamics, and developing and executing comprehensive sourcing strategies (“the Plan”)Manage the full sourcing lifecycle including:Commercial and contractual negotiations including drafting and negotiating both legal and commercial terms and conditions in contracts such as MSA, SOW/Schedule, NDA, and etc.RFx processes and supplier selectionDevelop and execute category strategies, with a strong focus on U.S.-based spend, aligned with business prioritiesIdentify and deliver value through:Cost optimizationDemand managementSupplier consolidationInnovation opportunitiesLead complex, high-value sourcing initiatives and enterprise-level negotiationsDeliver against defined savings, cost avoidance, and efficiency targetsSupplier & Performance ManagementManage strategic supplier relationships across Americas, with particular focus on U.S and Canada vendorsEstablish and lead supplier governance frameworks, including:Performance managementRisk monitoringContinuous improvement and innovation initiativesLeverage knowledge of the AMER supplier landscape to drive competitive advantageStakeholder ManagementAct as a trusted advisor to senior HR, Finance, and business leadership across the U.S. and CanadaInfluence decision-making at senior stakeholder levelsTranslate business strategy into tailored sourcing and supplier strategiesOperate effectively across a multi-jurisdictional and multicultural environment, balancing local, regional, and global priorities (Americas and Paris HQ)Risk & Regulatory OversightEnsure compliance with all relevant sourcing policies and third-party risk management frameworks across the U.S. and CanadaIdentify and mitigate contractual, operational, and supplier risks in partnership with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teamsEnsure sourcing strategies reflect jurisdictional differences, particularly in:Employment and contingent workforce regulationsData privacy laws (e.g., U.S. frameworks, PIPEDA, Quebec Law 25)Benefits and payroll structures Profile requiredRequired:Must have strong general experience and knowledge of the sourcing processProficiency in contract terms and condition negotiations and draftingExcellent analytical and strategic skillsInfluential with regards to Internal Stakeholders and External SuppliersMust be a self-starter and be able to operate independently in an aggressive environmentExcel at analyzing the commodity of spend for savings opportunities and/or service improvement, develop actionable plans, solicit necessary stakeholder support, execute the plan through sourcing/negotiationMust have the ability to work well within a team, with global involvementTECHNICAL SKILLSRequired:Basic Office Applications, MS Excel, MS Word, etc.Experience with Procurement/Sourcing related applicationsPRIOR WORK EXPERIENCERequired:Minimum of (5) years’ sourcing experience with relevant category knowledgeStrong overall sourcing acumenEDUCATIONRequired:B.S. in Business or other related field of StudyLANGUAGERequired:· EnglishDesired:· FrenchLANGUAGE: Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.Due to US Federal Securities law that may apply to this position, candidates who will apply for this position may be required to submit to an enhanced background screening, including the collection of their fingerprints by a third-party vendor selected by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority ("FINRA").Why join usBusiness insightSociete Generale is committed to offering an inclusive recruitment experience to all candidates.
