What is the opportunity?

By joining RBC as aCommercial Banking Advisor, you open the door to an exciting career in commercial banking.  This is your opportunity to become a critical member of aresults-orientedteam, a keymember of the Client Relationship Team providing tailored advice to clients.This role will be attractive to individuals who have a passion for working as part of a team to deliver a superior experience to business clients. Individuals who may already be working in the financial, retail or service industry,have some experience being part of a sales team, who are comfortable engaging with clients and committed to continuous learningand self-improvement are most likely to thriveas a trusted strategic advisor.

What will you do?

  • Coordinate an exceptional end-to-end client onboarding experience leading with advice to proactively identify opportunities to grow and deepen clientrelationships.

  • Educate clients and provide holistic advice on RBCs digital solutions, enabling clients to self-serve.

  • Excel at needs discovery and solution development to provide commercial clients with advice for theirday-to-daybanking operations, business deposits and simple cash managementsolutions.

  • Work in collaboration with the Client RelationshipTeamtoidentify, plan & deliver the bestsolutions to clients and prospectsbased on strong knowledge of client’s operationalrequirements.

Participate in ongoingproactive contact strategies toforge strong relationships with clients byunderstanding their needs, goals and changing circumstancesso as toadvise on increasing operational and working capital efficiency.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Minimum2 years of demonstrated excellence in a service and sales role

  • Proven track record ofstrongrelationship management skillsand proven sales success 

  • Experience with emerging communications and technology (i.e.,web-basedmeetings, social media, digital banking, and mobile applications)

  • Foundational business acumen acquired through work experiences or post-secondary education

  • Demonstrated proficiency in key skills including client centricity, communication and collaboration

  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly serve our clients with English and French-speaking needs.

Nice-to-have

  • Post-secondary education at college or university level in business administration or financial management preferrede.g.,BBA, B. of Commerceorequivalent on-the-joblearning

  • Demonstrated proficiency in financial acumen and business development skills
