Safety Technician

Job Overview:

Primoris Services Corporation is seeking a dedicated Safety Technician to assist in the implementation and maintenance of safety programs, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements on construction sites.

Job Responsibilities:**
* Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and unsafe work practices.
* Assist in the development and delivery of safety training programs for employees and subcontractors.
* Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, preparing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions.
* Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and project-specific safety plans.
* Maintain accurate safety records, including inspection reports, training documentation, and incident logs.
* Assist with the selection, distribution, and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE).
* Participate in safety meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of safety procedures.
* Provide guidance and support to project teams on safety-related matters.
* Respond to emergency situations and assist with first aid or emergency response coordination as needed.

Job Qualifications:**
* High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field preferred.
* 1-3 years of experience in a safety role, preferably within the construction, utilities, or heavy industrial sectors.
* OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour certification in Construction required.
* Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
* Excellent observation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to effectively communicate safety information to diverse audiences.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites as required.
* CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
