Pd-10 Operator

Job Overview:

Job Summary**

Primoris Services Corporation is seeking a skilled Hercules and Vermeer PD-10 Operator to operate specialized drilling equipment for utility and infrastructure projects. This role involves precise and safe operation of the PD-10 drill rigs to achieve project specifications and maintain a high standard of productivity and safety on site.

Job Responsibilities**

* Operate Hercules and Vermeer PD-10 drill rigs and associated equipment safely and efficiently.
* Perform pre-operation inspections, including checking fluid levels, controls, and safety systems.
* Interpret project plans, blueprints, and staking to accurately locate and drill boreholes.
* Monitor drilling operations, including bore path, depth, and drilling fluid pressure, making adjustments as necessary.
* Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance and repairs on drilling equipment.
* Communicate effectively with supervisors, crew members, and other site personnel regarding project progress and potential issues.
* Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations.
* Maintain accurate daily logs and reports of work performed, equipment maintenance, and material usage.
* Assist with other general labor duties on the job site as required.
* Ensure the drill rig and work area are kept clean and organized.

Job Qualifications**

* Minimum of 2-3 years of verifiable experience operating Hercules and/or Vermeer PD-10 drill rigs.
* Proven ability to read and interpret construction plans, utility maps, and specifications.
* Strong understanding of drilling techniques, bore path accuracy, and potential ground conditions.
* Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and performing minor equipment maintenance.
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL Class A or B preferred.
* OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various weather conditions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
* Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed.

* Experience with Vermeer PD10R / PD25R, ABI Mobilram systems, Junttan pile-driving rigs, Gayk hydraulic pile drivers, Orteco pile drivers, Watson drill rigs (for pre-drilling in hard ground)
