Job Overview:
Job Summary**
Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components within renewable energy projects, specifically focusing on the "Rockhound" division, with duties performed on-site and without the requirement of a driver's license.
Job Responsibilities**
* Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems for solar, wind, or other renewable energy infrastructure as directed.
* Perform wiring, conduit bending, panel installation, and connection of electrical components according to blueprints, schematics, and local electrical codes.
* Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
* Identify and diagnose electrical issues, utilizing appropriate testing equipment and tools.
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other tradespersons to ensure efficient project completion.
* Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
* Document work performed, including installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
* Assist in material handling and organization on job sites.
* Participate in training and development programs to stay current with industry standards and technologies.
Job Qualifications**
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Completion of an accredited electrician apprenticeship program or equivalent vocational training.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience as an electrician, with demonstrated experience in renewable energy projects (solar, wind, etc.) preferred.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
* Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and relevant local electrical codes.
* Ability to use a variety of electrical testing equipment (multimeters, megohmmeters, etc.) and hand/power tools safely and effectively.
* Physically able to perform demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, working at heights, and in various weather conditions.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
* Must be able to commute reliably to project sites without requiring a driver's license.
* OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
