Civil/mechanical Equipment Operator (non Driver) Desert Pine

Job Overview:

Job Summary:**

Operate various civil and mechanical equipment, excluding over-the-road vehicles, for construction and maintenance projects in desert environments, ensuring safe and efficient execution of tasks for Primoris Services Corporation.

Job Responsibilities:**

* Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, trenchers, and other construction machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
* Perform pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on equipment, including fluid levels, tire pressure, and general condition, and report any malfunctions or damage.
* Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and project-specific safety plans.
* Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and other construction documents to guide equipment operation.
* Excavate, grade, backfill, and compact earth and other materials according to project specifications.
* Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and equipment.
* Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and other personnel on site.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment.
* Perform other duties as assigned by project management.

Job Qualifications:**

* Proven experience operating a variety of civil and mechanical construction equipment (excluding over-the-road vehicles).
* Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently in challenging desert environments.
* Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures and protocols.
* Ability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on heavy equipment.
* Physical ability to perform strenuous labor, including standing, bending, and lifting in various weather conditions.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
* High school diploma or GED preferred.
* Relevant equipment operator certifications are a plus.
