About PixMob

PixMob creates magical experiences for live events around the world ✨. You might have seen 60,000 fans light up at the Super Bowl or at a Coldplay concert. Our mission? To spark joy and unforgettable memories for every fan.

We work with international artists, event organizers, sports teams, and brands to make every event extra special. At PixMob, innovation and design are in our DNA. From rapid prototyping to mass manufacturing, we craft cutting-edge wireless tech right at our Montreal HQ. And we care about the planet 🌱—we fight single-use plastics and use recycled or compostable materials wherever we can.

We’re looking for an IT Support Technician

About the role

We're looking for an IT Support Technician to join our team in Montreal. You'll be the first person our colleagues turn to when something isn't working, whether they're sitting next to you in the office or working remotely. The role is hands-on: fixing problems, setting up laptops, keeping our inventory straight and making sure meeting rooms just work.

This is an entry-level position. If you've recently finished a DEC, DEP or AEC in IT support and have some real-world experience from an internship, a previous job or serious school projects, we'd like to hear from you. You'll learn a lot, and you'll have room to grow into more technical work over time.

Main Responsibilities

  • Handle first-line support requests coming in through Jira, chat or people walking up to your desk
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues on macOS (about 90% of our fleet) and Windows (about 10%), Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Meet, Calendar) and everyday business apps
  • Prepare, deploy and manage laptops through our MDM tools (Mosyle for Macs, NinjaOne for Windows)
  • Run onboarding and offboarding: create and disable accounts, set up equipment, make sure new hires are ready on day one
  • Keep the hardware inventory and asset tracking up to date (laptops, monitors, peripherals, accessories)
  • Look after meeting rooms and AV equipment: screens, video conferencing, cabling, and quick fixes when a meeting is about to start
  • Keep the office IT setup in good shape: desks, docking stations, monitors, cable management, and setting up or moving workstations when people join or change seats
  • Document fixes and write short how-to guides so people can help themselves
  • Escalate to senior team members when needed, with clear notes on what you've already tried
  • Basic network and printer troubleshooting

What we’re looking for

  • DEC, DEP or AEC in IT support, computer science or a related field
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience, internships and school projects count
  • Comfortable supporting macOS users and Google Workspace; some Windows experience is a plus
  • Bilingual, French and English, spoken and written (you'll support people in both languages every day)
  • Good at explaining technical things to non-technical people, patient, and calm when several requests land at once
  • Organized, reliable, and able to keep track of tickets and inventory without being chased
  • Able to be in the office regularly for walk-in support and hardware work

Nice to have

  • Experience with a ticketing system (Jira Service Management or similar)
  • Familiarity with an MDM or RMM tool (Mosyle, NinjaOne, Jamf, Kandji)
  • Exposure to Linux
  • Basic networking knowledge (Wi-Fi, DHCP, VPN)
  • Experience with AV or video conferencing setups (Google Meet hardware, Zoom Rooms)

Languages & Inclusivity

You’ll need to be fluent in English (written & spoken), as day-to-day work involves collaboration with international employees — US, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and more.

Inclusivity is at the heart of our culture 💜. We welcome and value candidates of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences. Our job posting uses simplified grammar to make it easier to read across languages and is not intended to exclude or favor any gender.

Join us to help build a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels respected and empowered ✨.

Thanks for your interest in PixMob and this role! Only selected candidates will be contacted.
