We’re looking for a Director of Finance

Main Responsibilities 

Financial Operations & Governance

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate all operational accounting functions. 
  • Oversee data management for accurate reporting of the company's consolidated results. 
  • Coordinate and prepare monthly financial statements. 
  • Prepare annual financial statements and act as the main point of contact for external auditors. 
  • Provide leadership with key insights and data to drive strategic decision-making. 
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. 

Continuous Improvement & Tax Compliance

  • Evaluate current accounting procedures, proposing and implementing best practice enhancements. 
  • Lead upgrades and optimizations for accounting systems and internal controls. 
  • Supervise regulatory reporting, tax planning, and compliance, including tax return preparation. 

Team Leadership

  • Manage, guide, and develop a small finance team. 

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, paired with a CPA designation (required). 
  • 8 to 12 years of experience in a similar role. 
  • Prior experience in SMBs, startups, or high-growth environments (a strong asset). 
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct team management experience. 
  • Strong leadership, autonomy, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Impeccable organizational skills with top-tier communication and interpersonal abilities. 
  • High proficiency with Microsoft or Google Workspace tools. 
  • Bilingualism in French and English (written and spoken).
