Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Manager, Total Rewards to lead the design, implementation, and administration of our compensation, benefits, and equity programs. This role is responsible for managing a small team of Total Rewards professionals and plays a key role in supporting the preparation of annual executive compensation public disclosures. The successful candidate will also oversee the Employee Share Purchase Plan (ESPP) and Long-Term Incentive Plan (LTIP), ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory compliance. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Total Rewards team.
  • Collaborate with HR and business leaders to align total rewards strategies with organizational goals.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for compensation, benefits, and equity programs.

Executive Compensation & Disclosure

  • Support the preparation of annual executive compensation disclosures, including proxy statements and other public filings.
  • Keep apprised of regulatory requirements to ensure accuracy and timely compliance, collaborating with Legal and Finance teams.
  • Maintain documentation and audit trails for executive compensation decisions.

Compensation

  • Oversee job evaluations, salary structure design, and market benchmarking.
  • Lead annual compensation cycles, including merit, bonus, and promotion processes.
  • Ensure compliance with pay equity, pay transparency, and minimum wage legislation.
  • Participate in salary and ad hoc compensation surveys.

Benefits

  • Support the design and administration of employee benefits programs in Canada and the United States.
  • Recommend enhancements based on employee needs and market trends.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Equity & Incentive Programs

  • Manage the ESPP and LTIP programs, including vendor relationships, grant cycles, vesting schedules, and performance tracking.
  • Provide excellent participant support and ensure audit readiness.
  • Develop and deliver training and communication materials to enhance employee understanding and engagement.

Process Improvement & Reporting

  • Drive process improvements and automation to enhance program efficiency and employee experience.
  • Provide timely and accurate data and analysis to support Finance, Legal, and external auditors.
  • Support HRIS updates and reporting related to compensation and benefits.
  • Analyze trends and benchmarks to inform strategic decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Total Rewards, where experience in a leadership role is an asset.
  • Experience supporting executive compensation disclosures and familiarity with public company reporting requirements (e.g., proxy statements, CD&A).
  • Experience managing ESPP and LTIP programs.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with Workday is an asset.
  • Knowledge of HR and legislative practices in Canada and the U.S.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.

Compensation:

The targeted salary range for this position is$92,700-$110,000annually. The final offer will be based on factors such as market location, relevant skills,experienceand internal equity.
