Solace is seeking a Product Counsel to serve as a key legal partner to its Product and Engineering teams. In this role, you will advise across the entire product lifecycle—from early design through launch—ensuring legal risk is identified and addressed proactively. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Legal, you will implement privacy-by-design, provide practical guidance on HIPAA/HITECH and state privacy laws, and lead privacy assessments for new features, including those powered by AI.

You will draft and maintain user-facing legal documents, advise on data-sharing and vendor integrations, and partner with Marketing on advertising and consumer protection matters. The role requires building scalable legal resources and collaborating cross-functionally with Security, Compliance, Operations, and Finance, while knowing when to escalate issues to senior leadership.

The ideal candidate brings a JD, active bar membership, and 3–6 years of experience counseling product and engineering teams on privacy and technology matters, with a strong foundation in healthcare privacy and data protection. Experience with AI/ML, intellectual property, and advertising law is important, as are excellent communication skills and sound judgment in balancing risk and business velocity.
