THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a unique opportunity to joinas aManager, TechnologyAdvisory and Assurance,Risk AdvisoryServicesreporting into theSenior Manager, Technology Advisory and Assurance, Risk AdvisoryServices.This role willfocus onhelping todriveassurance and advisory initiativesto support thetechnologyportfolio spanning across ourwide spectrum ofbusinesses.You willwork directly withkey stakeholders throughout the business tohelplead, execute, and produce highly visual presentations which connect the dots in a simple and business-oriented way, skillfully capturingtechnologyrisks, current state landscape, potential issues and opportunities, and recommendations based on deep understanding of root cause.

The company is looking for adynamicand curiousleaderwithtechnicalskillsaround technology risk,entrepreneurial and business-oriented mindset, who is self-driven andpossessestherightinterpersonal skillsto drive partnerships and engagementsacrossthefull spectrum of our businesses. 

ROLE REQUIREMENTS ANDRESPONSIBILITIES

Technical

  • The engagementsspan acrossevaluating,monitoringand improving the management of technology riskat Loblaw and thecandidateshouldhaveexperience in working on one or more of the following areas:

  • Cyber-security,Privacy,andPenetrationTesting, including knowledge of penetrationtestingframeworks

  • System,network,and infrastructureoptimization

  • Data governance

  • Data analytics and visualization

  • System implementations, including cloud applications

  • Foundational understanding of the three lines of defense

  • Foundational understanding and knowledge of risk and controlassessments supporting systems, applicationsecurityand identity access management

  • Deliverand present highly visual, creative, client-focused deliverables and presentations

Engagement Leadership and Management 

  • Leadplanning, execution and reporting of multiple high-priority and high-visibility Assurance and Advisory engagements, focusing on governance, risk, controls, and performance improvements

  • Partner andleadcollaborationwith cross-functional teamsto improve existing management processesor to build new processesandthought leadership around our businesses

  • Lead end-to-endindependent assuranceengagements,aiming to improve internal control, reduce risk exposures, verify compliance with policies & procedures, andvalidatethe efficient use of resources

  • Createand present highly visual, creative, client-focused deliverables and presentations,which connect the dots in a simple and business-oriented way, capturing current and emerging risks, potential issues, opportunities, and mitigating activitieswhich are meaningful and practical for the businesses

  • Champion client specific initiativesto enhance the quality of our service delivery including benchmarking, internal / external research, industry events, thought leadership, relationship building, trainingandcompetency development

Client and Relationship Management 

  • Manage client relationships and communicationaround the project lifecycle withcross-functional teams

  • Proactively develop and own relationships with key stakeholdersin the business to ensure we are adaptable to changing business needs and adding value in the right direction

Team Management 

  • Participateas an active memberof the delivery teamsandmentorjuniorteam members through coachingand leading by example 

  • Review the qualityof the fieldwork and deliverables prepared byjuniorteam members 

EXPERIENCEREQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES

  • ABachelor’sdegree inInformation Technologyor arelated field such asITSystems, Computer Science, IT Management,Data Analyticsor Engineering

  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA),CPA, CISSP, CISM orCIA designation is a strong asset

  • 4+years of experiencein technologyroles– preferred roles are systems design, solutions architect, technologyconsulting/ Big4 firms, internal audit, cyber-security, ITrisk management.

  • Base knowledge of assurance, governance,riskand control frameworksincludingCOBIT,ISF,NIST and ISO, Service Organization Controls (SOC) Reporting standards (e.g.CSAE 3416, Section 5025, AT 101)is an asset

  • Experienceworking onlarge enterprise IT implementationsincludingprojectrisks andcontrols 

  • Excellentcommunication skills, and a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels (both written and verbal)

  • Proven problem-solver, with an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset and self-starter with a strong work ethic
