Digital Production Manager (20 Month Contract)

Why is this role important?

Digital Production Manager – Shoppers Drug Mart & Digital Health (20 month contract)

As a Digital Production Manager, you will oversee Digital Production Specialists who author and QA content across our Shoppers Drug Mart and PC Health app and website. You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end process for all content management within the above websites. You will lead large scale Loblaw Digital initiatives as they relate to onsite content and provide consultation from a production perspective. You will exhibit excellent judgement, time management, troubleshooting, and have the ability to manage multiple priorities.

What you’ll do

• Manage direct report(s), providing coaching, mentorship and guidance. Continually look to optimize how we work to find the most efficient build processes.  
• Oversee and implement content production, QA and deployment for all Shoppers Drug Mart and PC Health channels.  
• Support and scale the content review and content management of vendor programs for SDM by working in partnership with the Loblaw Media team.  
• Manage workflow planning, while continually seeking process improvements and exploring the use of automated tools, including AI programs.
• Troubleshoot complex production and CMS problems, find solutions that can be applied long-term.
• Facilitate experimentation, personalized content and user testing
• Report on all campaigns on-site and apply data driven insights to future campaigns.
• Advocate for accessibility standards within all digital content.  
• Lead large scale initiatives as they relate to Shoppers Drug Mart and PC Health channels. Provide consultation from a production perspective.
• Occasional after hours work may be required for large launches or when urgent issues arise.

Does this sound like you?

• You have 3-5 years’ experience in a digital agency or client-side environment implementing and overseeing digital marketing programs.
• You’re an expert at mastering web tools. You’ve used various Content Management Systems and web analytics platforms.
• You have experience managing people  
• You have strong project management skills.
• You have strong interpersonal and communication skills – both verbal and written.
• You are always open to new opportunities, welcome change and are able to pivot with ease.
• You are an expert in accessibility standards and SEO best practices.  
• You are highly organized and have incredible attention to detail.
• Experience with Contentful is a bonus.
