Purpose of the Role
Within the Information Technology department, the AI Team Lead plays a key role in the practical implementation, evolution, and support of artificial intelligence initiatives at La Vie en Rose. Reporting to the Director, IT Applications and Development, this person actively contributes to delivering useful, secure, and business-relevant AI solutions. The role combines team leadership with direct involvement in execution, including needs analysis, solution implementation, user support, and continuous improvement of existing tools, in close collaboration with members of the IT team, business units, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and develop the AI team on a day-to-day basis to ensure effective execution of deliverables and a strong level of service;
- Actively participate in gathering and analyzing business needs and translating them into practical, achievable AI solutions;
- Contribute directly to the implementation, configuration, testing, and deployment of AI solutions in collaboration with the relevant teams;
- Ensure operational follow-up for AI solutions in production, including support, troubleshooting, optimization, and continuous improvement;
- Support users in adopting AI tools, answer questions, and recommend adjustments based on day-to-day operational needs;
- Work closely with members of the IT team, members of the data team, members of the security team, and external partners to ensure smooth and effective solution integration;
- Manage the relationship with external suppliers and partners on AI-related matters, coordinate interactions, follow up on deliverables, clarify expectations, support issue resolution, and ensure that proposed solutions align with business needs, IT standards, security requirements, and organizational direction;
- Apply AI practices, standards, and guidelines and contribute to improving them when needed;
- Evaluate AI tools and solutions in a practical way and recommend those that best meet operational needs;
- Document solutions, processes, and best practices to support sustainability, knowledge transfer, and team autonomy;
- Act as a practical and accessible AI resource person for internal teams, with a strong results-oriented mindset.
Your Profile
- AI proficiency: You effectively integrate AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, and others in an enterprise environment.
- Governance and oversight: You define best practices, establish AI policies, and ensure they are respected.
- Change management: You propose effective approaches to deploy tools while adapting to target users.
- Collaboration and communication: As an excellent communicator, you help teams adopt AI and simplify technical concepts.
- Autonomy and problem-solving: Organized and analytical, you identify solutions that fit business needs.
- Passion for technology: Curious and forward-looking, you stay informed on AI developments and their impact on retail.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, or another related field;
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a management role;
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in artificial intelligence or a related field;
- Hands-on experience implementing, maintaining, and supporting AI solutions and technology solutions;
- Experience in and interest for the retail industry;
- French and English, spoken and written (the person will work with external suppliers).
