SALARY RANGE:$120,000 - $142,500 + ​

  • Actual base pay will depend and vary based on factors such as individual experience and skills of the applicant. 

BONUS:  Bonus at Target: $42,000

  • This role may also be eligible for discretionary long-term incentive awards. 

  • Variable Compensation opportunities are contingent on individual performance and overall business results, pursuant to the Bonus Plan;listed amount are targeted values and not guarantees.

ROLE SUMMARY:

As theSenior Manager, Corporate Affairs – Atlantic, you will be responsible for providing a broad range of supportacross the Atlantic regionin the areas of government relations, public affairsand communications.You will play a key role in advancing the interests of the organizationin Atlantic Canadaand protecting our corporate reputation.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Government Relations and Public Affairs:

  • Lead government relations efforts across all four Atlantic provinces, focusing on regulatory aspects and ensuring alignment with business goals.

  • Buildand maintain relationships with key government stakeholders and regulatory bodies to advance thecompany’sinterests.

  • Monitor and analyze regulatory developments andprovidestrategicadviceto senior leadership to advance our government relationship goals.

Strategic PlanningandExecution:

  • Contribute to strategic planning for communicationsand issuesmanagementandtailornational strategies to regional needs.

  • Supportthe execution of regional commercial communications programs.

  • Help execute regional campaigns thatstrengthenbrand profile and support business objectives.

  • Support and coordinate external communications programs, media plans and responsesandissuesmanagement efforts.

  • Ensureeffectiveexecution of public affairs and internalandexternal communications in order to support local initiatives.

  • Developcorporate positioning thatstrengthensthe company’s reputation and builds public support.
     

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in political science,communicationsor a related field;advanced degree is preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate affairs, communications, or government relations, with a proven track record of managing complex projects and stakeholder relationships.

  • Seniorlevel government experienceat federal or provincial level.

  • Strong understanding of media relations and crisis management.

  • Excellent strategic thinking, writing, and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and manage multiple priorities.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with government officials, media, and community partners.

  • Ability to provide innovative solutions and adapt to changing circumstances.
