JOB OVERVIEW
The Ground Equipment Ramp Technician reports to the Ground Service Equipment team Leadhand and is responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the Ramp area and common hangar areas. The duties and responsibilities include:
- Operating equipment for snow removal and ramp cleaning
- Maintain salt bins and spill kits and inspect fire extinguishers
- Organize and fuel up ramp equipment and clean up oil leaks
- Do facility clearing of weeds and organize wood and garbage and metal bins
- Maintain a clean and organized oil dock and waste material areas
- Lend a hand to others on the facility team when projects demand
- Deliveries and pickups and using forklift to transport parts around the facility
- Document hour meters on equipment and other light maintenance duties
- Do compressed bottle inventory and organize waste pickups
- Waste disposal arrangements
- Solvent tank maintenance
- Maintain clear path to all Fire Hydrants around the Facility
SHIFTS
The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 diploma
- Controlled Goods and Restricted Area Identification Card (Red Pass) certification required (completed in-house; requires background check)
- Experience with equipment operation
- Must be physically fit (ie: lifting, standing, reaching, climbing step ladders)
- Mechanically inclined
- Able to work effectively independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to work flexible hours, especially in the winter season when snow removal is a priority
- Must be a motivated self-starter with strong initiative
- Must be able to follow procedures and policies of the Company
- Time management skills
- Valid drivers license

SALARY
The wage band is KF level 3, $20.06-$25.07 hourly. The expertise and technical skill level of the candidate is assessed during the selection process for placement within the band. Note: The salary range maximum signifies full job knowledge.
