As Vice President, Private Capital Solutions at Clarity, you will lead a growing team helping private companies address their capital and liquidity needs. In this high-visibility role, you will engage directly with founders, CFOs, and legal teams at leading venture-backed companies, combining capital markets expertise with Clarity’s investor network and transaction management technology.
You will be a hands-on commercial leader, personally developing relationships and winning mandates while building the team, sales practices, and operating discipline that support sustained growth. Our solutions span primary capital raising, company-sponsored secondary transactions and buybacks, tender offers, transaction administration, and managed markets.
In this role, your responsibilities would include:
Developing, growing, and owning strategic relationships with private companies and influential partners, including law firms and venture investors.
Personally leading client discussions, pitches, and mandate negotiations, helping companies identify the right solutions for their capital and liquidity objectives.
Developing and executing the team’s client acquisition and account coverage strategy, from initial outreach through ongoing relationship management.
Leading, coaching, and developing the PCS team, setting high standards for client engagement, commercial execution, and performance.
Building and improving the team’s approach to account planning, opportunity qualification, pipeline management, and forecasting, with clear performance expectations and effective incentives.
Collaborating with our Capital Markets, Sales & Trading, and Transaction Services teams to deliver successful client engagements.
Working closely with Product and operational teams to shape our offering, identify commercially important improvements, and translate issuer needs into solutions we can deliver effectively.
Representing Clarity at industry events and building its reputation as a trusted partner to private companies.
The ideal candidate will:
Bring significant experience in the pre-IPO or secondaries market, or in investment banking or private capital advisory. Technology sector focus is a plus.
Have an exceptional track record of personally originating and winning corporate mandates in competitive situations, earning the trust of senior decision makers and establishing new client relationships.
Bring the judgment, credibility, and presence to advise founders, CFOs, and other senior stakeholders on important capital and liquidity decisions.
Have a deep understanding of the technology company landscape, private-company capital structures, shareholder dynamics, primary fundraising, and secondary liquidity.
Have an established network of senior private-company executives, venture investors, law firms, and other relevant market participants.
Have demonstrated success building or materially improving a commercial team, raising performance through hands-on coaching, disciplined sales practices, and clear accountability.
Be comfortable working closely with product and operational teams to develop solutions and deliver complex client engagements.
Combine exceptional sales, negotiation, and communication skills with strong organizational discipline and a hands-on, entrepreneurial approach.
Compensation: Highly competitive compensation commensurate with experience and contribution.
Vancouver, BC: $500,000-$1,500,000
Remote, US: $500,000-$1,500,000 USD
For this role, the estimated total compensation range is listed above. The actual base salary, variable bonus (if applicable), and options grant will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the range for this role may be modified.
