Prosper NWT is seeking a Manager, AI and Digital Transformation to lead the integration of artificial intelligence and digital systems that strengthen both internal operations and support services for entrepreneurs across the Northwest Territories.
This role combines technical expertise with a strong understanding of business and community needs, helping drive innovation and economic growth across the North.
About the Role
Based in Yellowknife and reporting to the Director, Finance and Programs, the Manager leads Prosper NWT’s internal modernization efforts while also supporting AI adoption across the territory.
This includes developing and implementing AI tools and data systems to improve financial reporting, portfolio management and operational efficiency, while also building resources, training programs and advisory services to help NWT businesses leverage AI effectively.
The role serves as Prosper NWT’s in-house expert on AI, digital technologies and data analytics, supporting both internal teams and external clients.

Responsibilities
In this role you will:
- Lead AI strategy and integration across Prosper NWT and support adoption within the NWT business community
- Develop AI roadmaps, readiness assessments and implementation strategies for internal and external use
- Design and implement digital solutions to improve operational efficiency and financial processes
- Oversee the development of data systems, dashboards and reporting tools to support decision-making
- Provide training and advisory services to staff and clients on AI, data analytics and digital transformation
- Monitor industry trends and recommend innovative approaches to enhance programs and services
- Manage the implementation of loan and investment portfolio systems, including reporting and risk management tools
- Translate complex data into actionable insights for leadership and stakeholders
- Build relationships with partners, stakeholders and organizations to support innovation and economic development
- Supervise and mentor staff while supporting strategic planning and budget oversight
Requirements
Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology systems, or a related field, combined with three (3) years of relevant experience.
Equivalencies
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. For example:
- A two-year diploma in a related field, combined with five (5) years of directly relevant experience, including demonstrated expertise in AI implementation, data science and digital transformation leadership
OR
- A one-year certificate in a related field, combined with seven (7) years of directly relevant experience, including demonstrated expertise in AI implementation, data science and digital transformation leadership
