GFL Environmental is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic for Western Canada's newest Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) in Edmonton, AB!
This is a night shift position operating between the hours of 3pm-1:30am.
The Maintenance Mechanic will receive on-the-job training on performing inspections and preventative maintenance. You’ll be performing a variety of diagnostics and repairs on industrial equipment. This equipment can range from electronics, conveyers, and compactors that provide support and service to our processing facilities operations.

Requirements:
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Millwright Apprentices Preferred
• High School diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License
• Mechanically inclined individual.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to company safety procedures.
• Preform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on conveyors, electronics, and electronic motors.
• Use various computer systems to record and document repairs and diagnose problems.
• Inspections on stationary equipment. (Greasing, oil changes, minor repairs)
• Repair and part sourcing.
• Minor welding/fabrication of equipment.
