Jobber exists to help people in small businesses be successful. We work with small home service businesses, like your local plumbers, electricians, painters, and landscapers, to transform the way service is delivered through technology. With Jobber, they can quote, schedule, invoice, and collect payments from their customers while providing an easy and professional customer experience. Running a small business today isn’t like it used to be—the way we consume and deliver service is changing rapidly, technology is evolving, and customers expect more. That’s why we put the power and flexibility in their hands to run their businesses how, where, and when they want!
Our culture of transparency, inclusivity, collaboration, and innovation has been recognized by Great Place to Work, Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures, and more. Jobber has also been named on the Globe and Mail’s Canada’s Top Growing Companies list, and Deloitte Canada’s Technology Fast 50™, Enterprise Fast 15, and Technology Fast 500™ lists. With an Executive team that has over thirty years of industry experience of leading the way, we’ve come a long way from our first customer in 2011—but we’ve just scratched the surface of what we want to accomplish for our customers.
Small business owners don't just need software - they need a financial partner.
Running a home service business means juggling cash flow, fronting the cost of materials, protecting the business from risk, and helping customers afford bigger jobs. Today, most small business owners stitch this together with personal credit cards, generic bank accounts, insurance brokers who don't understand their trade, and financing options their customers can't access at the moment they need them. It's fragmented, it's expensive, and none of it is built for how they actually work.
That's the opportunity for Fintech New Bets.
We're looking for a Staff Product Manager, Fintech New Bets to discover, validate, and launch Jobber's next generation of financial products - in areas like insurance, consumer financing, and spend and money management (think a card offering and business banking built for Pros). This is a high-impact, highly senior individual contributor role at the intersection of zero-to-one product building and deep fintech domain expertise. You'll take loosely defined opportunities and turn them into live products with real customers and real revenue.
The team
Fintech is one of the fastest-growing parts of Jobber, and a core strategic priority for us as a company. We're investing in this growing area because we believe embedding financial tools within our product deepens our ability to help small businesses be successful.
Whether it's helping small businesses get paid using Jobber Payments, getting access to capital to invest in growth, or offering financing to our customers' customers, we believe small business owners should have seamless access to financial tools that allow them to thrive.
New Bets is the team charged with finding what comes next. As Jobber's fintech business scales beyond payments, we're expanding into new, high-impact financial products - and this role is the product leadership engine of that expansion. You'll work in close partnership with your commercial and strategy counterparts on the New Bets team, who own business cases, partner negotiations, and unit economics - together, you'll take new bets from idea, to business case, to shipped product.
Simply put, we care much more about our customers than any financial institution ever will. That's our superpower.
The role
We're looking for a Staff Product Manager, Fintech New Bets who brings deep product expertise, strong zero-to-one instincts, and the ability to lead through influence across a complex, ambiguous, and high-stakes domain.
In this role, you'll own the product side of Jobber's newest fintech bets. You'll look across the financial life of a home service business - how they spend, borrow, insure, and bank - and identify which products Jobber should build, buy, or partner to deliver. You'll run rapid discovery and validation, shape build-vs-partner decisions with embedded finance and banking-as-a-service providers, and lead the first versions of these products from pilot through to scale.
Unlike our established product areas, there is no playbook here. You'll be expected to operate with high autonomy, form conviction from thin data, kill ideas that don't clear the bar, and bring cross-functional partners along with clarity and speed. This is a role for someone who is energized by ambiguity, moves fast without breaking trust, and has shipped financial products before.
As a Staff Product Manager, Fintech New Bets you will:
Take new bets from zero to one: frame the customer problem, size the opportunity, design and run lean validation experiments and pilots, and make evidence-based go/no-go recommendations.
Lead build-vs-buy-vs-partner decisions, evaluating embedded finance, banking-as-a-service, insurance, and lending partners on capabilities, economics, risk, and customer experience - and shaping those partnerships alongside our commercial team.
Ship and scale first versions of new financial products, defining the MVP, sequencing the roadmap, and iterating quickly based on customer and market feedback.
Partner deeply with Design, Engineering, Data, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Finance, and GTM to navigate the regulatory and operational realities of launching financial products.
Use qualitative and quantitative insights - including unit economics, adoption signals, and risk performance - to form deep conviction about which bets deserve further investment.
Elevate product thinking across the fintech group, shaping how other PMs and leaders evaluate new opportunities, frame trade-offs, and make decisions in emerging financial domains.
Balance the urgency of proving new bets quickly with the rigor required to build durable, trustworthy financial products at scale.
To be successful, you should have:
Extensive product management experience, with a proven track record of taking new products from concept to launch - ideally including at least one financial product with meaningful revenue accountability.
Experience operating at a staff or principal level - defining strategy across ambiguous problem spaces, influencing without authority, and shaping org-wide product direction.
Deep familiarity with fintech products such as card issuing, spend management, business banking, insurance, or lending - and an understanding of the partner, risk, and compliance ecosystems behind them.
Exceptional product sense and commercial rigor. You can pressure-test unit economics and business cases as comfortably as you can critique a customer flow.
A bias for validated learning: you know how to de-risk a bet cheaply, when to double down, and when to walk away.
The ability to connect deep customer insight to long-term business strategy and communicate it clearly to senior stakeholders, external partners, and cross-functional teams.
A high bar for quality, ownership, and outcomes - combined with the judgment to know when to go deep and when to zoom out.
Bonus points if you have:
Experience launching embedded fintech products in a vertical SaaS or platform business
Experience working with banking-as-a-service or embedded finance providers, card networks, sponsor banks, insurance carriers or MGAs, or consumer lending partners.
Experience serving small businesses, particularly in home and field services.

A dedicated Talent Development team and access to coaching, learning, and leadership programs to help you grow your career, reach your goals, and unlock your full potential.
A unique opportunity to build, grow, and leave your impact on a $400-billion industry that has no dominant player...yet.
To work with a group of people who are humble, supportive, and give a sh*t about our customers.
We believe that diverse teams perform better and that fostering an inclusive work environment is a key part of growing a successful team. We welcome people of diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We are an equal opportunity employer, and we are committed to working with applicants requesting accommodation at any stage of the hiring process.
