Traffic Coordinator

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a vital member of our operations team, the Traffic Coordinator will be responsible for creating and maintaining schedules and project deliverables.  This person will work closely with our Sales and Operations departments to effectively communicate with project stakeholders providing updates and resolving issues that arise.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create and maintain work schedules for traffic technicians
• Plan for project timelines and deliverables and schedule technicians accordingly
• Dispatch traffic technicians to work sites and trouble shoot question and issues
• Interact with estimators, managers, and technicians regarding projects
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients by phone, email, and in-person
• Ensure safety paperwork and documentation is completed properly by technicians
• Assist the estimating team in the development of work schedules for tenders and proposals
• Interact with customers providing exceptional customer service by phone, email, and in-person

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1-2 years of experience in a coordinator, dispatcher, or customer service environment
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized and ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
• Preferably, experience in traffic control or construction
• Valid provincial drivers license and clean drivers abstract

HOURS OF WORK:

Daily schedule may vary depending upon operational needs.  However, general office hours would be 7-8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday although extended hours and overtime may be necessary during the busy season (May – October).
