Job Description

As the HSE Lead at FLINT, you will leverage your deep understanding of OHS regulations to promote a safety-focused culture among employees and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and providing technical expertise in environment, health, and safety. This [insert position type] position requires flexibility for maintenance projects and frequent travel to remote sites.

What would you be doing?

  • Promote health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices among employees and subcontractors.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for HSE training and development.
  • Manage WCB in partnership with Human Resources.
  • Assist management with incident investigations and reporting. Ensure cause and corrective actions are implemented.
  • Advise on compliance related to OHS and company standards.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) and/or Occupational Health and Safety Certificate (OHS) preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with HSE Management Systems and audit tools, including Alberta Partnerships Certificate of Recognition (COR).
  • Relevant safety tickets: WHMIS, CSTS-09, H2S Alive, Fall Protection, and Common Safety Orientation (CSO).
  • Ability to lead a team of HSE Advisors effectively.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.

Additional Information

This position has been identified as a safety-sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.

Target Salary: $60.00 per hour
