Az - Shunter (night Shift)

Position Summary:

As an AZ Shunter with Flanagan Foodservice, you will shunt trailers in and out of the Service bays, keep the yards organized and communicate with the supervisory team to ensure that equipment is staged and available when required to maintain a continuous flow of work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Priority - Shunting trailers in/out of bays as required
• Organize and stage trailers for repairs
• Inspect vehicles and ensure safety of yard equipment
• Identify any issues with parking and flow in yard and work with management to resolve
• Maintain yards – arrangement and cleanliness
• Ensure all safety standards are followed at all times
• Assist with cleanup
• Maintain tractor as required to internal and government standards
• Greet internal and external customers and suppliers professionally upon arrival
• Safely and professionally operate company vehicles and equipment including conducting pre and post trip inspections, completion of required logs and reports. 
• Report on status of equipment located in the yard
• Fuel equipment (tractors and reefer units) upon over the road drivers return to the yard
• Assist with dropping off and picking up equipment at service provider locations
• Follow the Company’s policies and procedures 
• Ensure compliance to Ministry of Transportation rules and regulations
• Follow safe and efficient work procedures to meet customer requirements including maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Complete and keep up to date on all Health & Safety, Food Safety and Quality Assurance training pertinent to the role
• Responsible for reporting any and all concerns related to the Health & Safety, safe handling and integrity of all items received, stored and distributed by Flanagan Foodservice
• Adherence to all Health & Safety, Food Safety and WHMIS practices

Required Qualifications:

• Valid AZ license with a clean driver’s abstract and CVOR
• Minimum of 1 year AZ class driving experience 
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Adherence to all Health & Safety, Food Safety and WHMIS practices
• Ability to work in a verity of weather, climates and road conditions 

Unique Requirements:
