Lead a regional underwriting team specializing in commercial and small business lending. You’ll manage and coach a team of underwriters and partner with sales staff in preparing files for approval, ensuring consistency in approach and risk mitigation.

As Manager, A&A Commercial and Small Business Underwriting,you'lllead,coachand develop a specialized underwriting team. Drawing on your sound credit judgment, analyticalabilitiesandstrong communicationskills,you'llensure that clear,comprehensiveand consistent loan narratives are prepared within tight timelines.

Whatyou'lldo

Lead,coachand train a regional team of underwriters specializing in commercial and small business financing
Review loan narratives prepared by the team andprovidedetailed feedback and active guidance prior to submission to Credit Risk
Ensure the quality,consistencyand conciseness of credit narratives, with a focus on risk mitigation
Act as a key liaison between Credit Risk,Operationsand sales teams
Support the growth of the team's skills in the areas of credit culture and lending policies
Foster an engaging, high-performance work environment focused on collaboration and professional development

Whatyou’llbring to the team

Required qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in a related field or discipline
At least five years of experience in commercial lending (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
Expertisein analyzing commercial and small business financing opportunities
Proven experience in credit underwriting and risk mitigation
Sound knowledge of lending policies,processesand practices
Strong communicationskills and the ability to explain complex concepts
Experience mentoring or coaching team members
Proficiencyin both official languages (English and French)

Preferred qualifications:

Formal leadership experience
Commercial lending experience
Familiarity with the agriculture, agribusiness and food and beverage industries
