Position Summary

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Aircraft Interior Technician supports the removal, installation, repair and refurbishment of aircraft cabin interiors during aircraft maintenance and modification programs. This is a hands-on position working directly on aircraft and alongside experienced Interior Technicians and maintenance personnel. We are looking for individuals who are mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, detail-oriented and eager to learn. You will be trained on aircraft interior processes, tools and procedures while gaining valuable experience in a regulated aviation maintenance environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with the removal and installation of aircraft interior components under the direction of experienced technicians, including:
  • Passenger and crew seats
  • Sidewalls, ceiling and door panels
  • Floorboards, flooring and carpets
  • Overhead bins and cabin fixtures
  • Bulkheads, closets and other cabin components
  • Assist with aircraft cabin strip and reinstallation activities during heavy maintenance and modification programs.
  • Use hand and power tools to remove, install, cut, drill, trim, fit and adjust interior components.
  • Assist with the repair, refurbishment and modification of interior components.
  • Clean, prepare and inspect components before installation.
  • Assist with upholstery, carpeting, trim and other interior finishing work as required.
  • Follow technical instructions, drawings, manuals and established work procedures.
  • Identify damaged, missing or defective components and bring them to the attention of the appropriate technician or supervisor.
  • Assist with aircraft cabin reconfiguration and modification projects.
  • Safely move and handle aircraft parts, tools and materials throughout the facility.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
  • Maintain strong Foreign Object Debris (FOD) awareness and control while working around aircraft.
  • Complete required work documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and participate in the Company's Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Report hazards, damage, defects or other safety/quality concerns to leadership.
  • Work collaboratively with Interior Technicians, AMEs and other maintenance personnel to complete aircraft projects.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous aircraft experience is an asset but not required.
  • Previous experience in a hands-on, mechanical, construction, automotive, manufacturing, carpentry, upholstery, cabinetry or similar environment is an asset.
  • Comfortable using basic hand and power tools.
  • Mechanically inclined with an interest in learning aircraft maintenance and interior work.
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions carefully.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
  • Safety-conscious and willing to follow established procedures.
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working inside aircraft and in physically demanding positions, including bending, kneeling, climbing and working in confined areas.
  • Able to lift and move materials and components as required.
  • No post-secondary education or aircraft maintenance license is required.
