Are you eligible for co-op at D2L?
Our co-op roles are open to applicants who are:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program, and will not graduate prior to this co-op role (preference for students enrolled in an official co-op program)
- Able to work 40 hours per week
- Able to work in-person from a D2L office (office location dependent on role)

What would my main duties be?
Key Priorities for the co-op are expected to include, but not limited to:
1. Global EventSupport,Coordination,TaskManagement
- Support andassistteam with eventand projectcoordination, administrative, and logisticduties for key events in FY26calendar (sponsored & proprietary), data management,reporting,andenablement.
- Coordination and follow-up of cross-functional (internal and external) project tasks and actions
- Event support would include things like managing the Fusion and D2LExperienceemail inboxes,eventbriefs,coordination of POs,invoices, contracts,eventdata/lists, presenterprep and travel support, eventsystemadminsupport, reportingand KPItracking, assisting with planning/set-up logistics for eventsactivities, review, maintenance,and testing eventtools andplatforms and relatedeventtech, day-of event coordination and support,and post-event follow-up,etc.
2. EventCommunicationsand CalendarCoordination
- Aid cross-functional event communications andglobalevent calendarupkeep and cross-functionalalignment
- Maintain event schedule and event communications scheduleandeventperformance tracking
- Coordinate updates/changes and related communications with cross-functional communications leads
- Help to provide awareness and alignment ofevents and relatedactivitieswith other internal/externalstakeholders
3. Event Data Management and ROI Reporting
- Post-eventsurvey review and reporting
- Reporting and tracking of keyeventKPIs, management and upkeep of eventreportingdata/dashboards
- Lead scan list scrubbing and reconciliation and coordination of uploads withappropriate teams
- Coordination and follow-up on learnings, highlights, post-event content,reconciliations, etc.
- Coordination andtracking support for key event invoices, contracts, and spend information
4. Vendor,Venue,Tech,andSpeakerResearch and Sourcing
- Assistin in-personeventvenue sourcing and researchfor FusionvenueRFP, proprietary events, and VIPreceptioneventlocations
- Research unique swag, event in a box,and booth/exhibitvendors options and solutions based on goalsprovided
- Research and connect with client-facing teams and SMEs to source speakers and presentations for events
- Research event app/marketing techeventsolutions based on goalsprovided
- Once vendors/venues/tech/speakersidentified, create a grid comparing the specific offerings and make recommendations on which would suggestproceedingwith
- Coordinate sourcingand inventory monitoring ofswag/giveaways/assetsas neededtosupportour self-service event asset portal and variousevents.
5.CollateralReview and Copywriting
- Event promotionand follow-up,enablement asset creation supportandtask and vendorcoordination
- Copywritingsupportand coordination of content neededforwebsitepages,email campaigns, socialand other digital eventpromotion, enablement toolkits, and other internal and external eventand/orcommunications and digital assets
- Coordinateproperproofread and reviewsof communication/copywriting
- Coordinate the creation, updating, and deployment ofinformationupdates, graphics, and supporting digital and print assets withappropriateinternalgroupsand external vendors
6.Competitive EventandCustomerExperience Research
- Visit the websites of key competitors and top eventsand customermarketing touchpoints andexperiencesboth in and outside of our industry
- Take specific actions including visiting landing pages,registeringandattendingvirtualevents, requestingadditionalinformation, assets, etc.(specifics to be provided)
- Capture communications and advertising presented, what experiences they are providing to theircustomers, how their web pages and events are structured,what tools they are using,assets they provide, how they continue engagement throughout customer journey,awards and reviewsthey’vereceived,etc.
Who are we looking for?
- Star student enrolled in marketing, communications, event management, or project management program with the following competencies:
- Advanced communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication writing and/or copywriting skills
- Exceptional organizational skills including multi-tasking and time management
- High attention to detail
- Ability to learn quickly, think fast under pressure, and work independently in fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with MS Excel and comfortable with learning new systems quickly
- Creative mindset and stamina to try new things and figure out how to continuously improve
- Experience with planning or coordinating cross-functional events, cross-functional projects, and/or communication writing would be an asset
- Familiarity and interest in AI tools (e.g. ChatGBT, Copilot, etc.)

The expected weekly salary range for a student hire in this role is listed below. The base salary offered is determined by each candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, education, training and experience. It is aligned to ensure both internal and external competitiveness using market data for the geographic location and school specific salary surveys.
Weekly Salary Range
$880—$1,120 CAD
