Job Summary

To support the Engineering and Maintenance teams in performing master data cleanup, preventive maintenance (PM) data review, and inventory/spare parts data validation within SAP. The role will involve ensuring accuracy and consistency of equipment and functional location records, PM task lists, asset labeling, and maintenance-related data while supporting GMP/cGMP compliance and contributing to improved data integrity and operational efficiency across Manufacturing and Packaging areas.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Master Data Cleanup: 

  • Review, validate, and update equipment and functional location master data
  • Correct missing or inaccurate descriptions, classification fields (Critical / Non‑Critical), and asset hierarchy (Parent–Child relationships)
  • Identify and flag duplicate, obsolete, or inactive equipment and functional locations
  • Validate and update cost center assignments, work centers, and maintenance responsibility designations (Internal vs. External)

Preventive Maintenance (PM) Data

  • Review PM task lists for accuracy, relevance, and duplication
  • Identify obsolete or unused PMs and prepare them for deactivation
  • Validate PM frequencies, estimated durations, and task descriptions
  • Ensure PMs are correctly linked to the appropriate equipment or functional locations. 
  • Add calibration assessments and operating ranges to applicable PM plans.
  • Validate and correct location assignments for PMs and associated equipment.

Equipment Labeling

  • Label equipment in Packaging and Manufacturing areas in alignment with SAP equipment ID numbers.
  • Ensure consistency between physical labels and SAP master data.

Inventory & Spare Parts Management

  • Create and validate material numbers and spare parts lists in SAP.
  • Establish bin IDs and support physical bin labeling.
  • Define inventory thresholds, minimum/maximum stock levels, and replenishment limits. 
  • Other duties as assigned 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field.

Experience:

N/A

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Comfortable working with large datasets and structured system data
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI
  • Ability to use formulas and macros to automate repetitive tasks
  • Capable of creating clear, visually appealing dashboards and reports
  • Basic understanding of GxP principles and regulated environments (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of data accuracy
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Clear communication skills and willingness to propose process improvements

Additional Assets

  • Previous experience in maintenance or manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with CMMS, SAP PM, or other asset management systems
  • Experience supporting data cleanup initiatives or audit‑readiness activities

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Office, maintenance and manufacturing environments (in person) and support in GMP production area.
