We aim to unlock the full potential of every CCM athlete from pond to forum by delivering innovation to maximize performance and ignite in them the self-confidence to chase their dream. We’re looking for passionate players who share our core values and will help us become THE industry leader!

At CCM Hockey, we live our values everyday:

Authenticity: Standing up for who you are, doing what you mean and what you believe in.
Empowerment: Through their unique contributions, each person is different, each person is important, and each person has the opportunity to make a difference.
Teamwork: A team that works together always beats a team of highly skilled individual players.
Respect: Valuing differences and allowing others to express themselves when working together, to achieve common goals, to grow and succeed as a company.

CCM Hockey is looking for a Senior Trade Compliance Specialist to run our global trade compliance program day to day and continuously improve it. You'll report directly to the Director, Global Tax & Customs, and be one of two people in trade compliance. That means real ownership, from product classification and entry audits to our CTPAT program and government audits.

We also want someone who sees repetitive work as something to automate. You'll use AI and data tools to cut manual effort, so more of your time goes to risk planning, process improvement, and compliance strategy.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Customs operations (Canada & U.S.)

  • Classify new and existing products under the HS/HTS (Canada, U.S., EU), maintain the classification database, and prepare ruling requests when needed
  • Audit Canadian and U.S. import entries (CAD/B3, 7501) and file corrections through CARM and ACE
  • Determine origin under CUSMA/USMCA and other trade agreements, and maintain supporting documentation
  • Oversee customs valuation, U.S. tariff measures (Section 301, 232, and others), and duty relief programs (duty deferral, drawback)
  • Prepare export documentation, commercial invoices, and B13s
  • Serve as main contact for customs brokers, freight forwarders, and 3PLs, and resolve clearance issues

Program ownership

  • Manage the CTPAT program: security profile, supplier due diligence, validations, and the annual sustainment calendar
  • Lead responses to CBP, CBSA, and other government agency audits, verifications, and information requests
  • Run periodic internal audits and self-assessments, and track corrective actions to closure
  • Maintain trade compliance records to meet recordkeeping requirements in each country

Cross-functional compliance

  • Work with sourcing, product development, logistics, finance, and legal to build compliance into supply chain decisions (new products, suppliers, routings)
  • Develop and maintain trade compliance policies, procedures, and training
  • Monitor regulatory changes, assess their impact, and recommend responses
  • Benchmark our practices against industry standards

Automation & continuous improvement

  • Identify manual, repetitive tasks (entry audits, classification support, invoice preparation, broker data reconciliation, reporting) and automate them using AI tools, Excel/Power Query, Power Automate, or scripting
  • Build and maintain compliance KPIs and dashboards (duty spend, error rates, corrections, broker performance)
  • Document every automated workflow with controls and human review so results stay audit-ready

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in customs/trade compliance (importer, brokerage, or consulting), with hands-on experience in both Canada and the U.S.
  • Strong HS classification skills and working knowledge of CARM and ACE
  • CTPAT program experience (security profile, validation, supplier due diligence)
  • Experience managing CBP or CBSA audits or verifications
  • Proven record of automating processes.
  • Comfortable working independently in a small team, managing priorities with little supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in French and English. English is required because the role communicates daily with U.S. customs authorities, U.S. brokers, and international affiliates.

Assets: CCS designation, U.S. Licensed Customs Broker, EU customs knowledge, duty drawback.

WHY JOIN THE CCM TEAM?

  • Competitive salaries, including a performance-based bonus program.
  • Full range of group insurance benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, etc.) from Day 1.
  • Group retirement pension plan with employer matching (up to 5% of base salary).
  • 3 weeks of vacation per year prorated as of your start date.
  • Discounted prices on CCM products.
  • Free gym at the head office.
  • Fun social events throughout the year.

At CCM Hockey, we celebrate the difference for the benefit of our employees, our products and our collaborators. We work to create an inclusive environment where everyone, regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion, age or other motives, can give the best of themselves.

Please note that only retained candidates will be contacted. We respectfully ask agencies to not contact us or send unsolicited applications. We thank all applicants for their interest.

*Please note that the benefits may vary depending on the location and the position. All unionized employees are governed by the collective agreement.
