About this opportunity

The Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis (“FP&A”) is part of the Corporate Finance team working directly with our finance & cross-functional teams. The Senior Financial Analyst will work closely with the Director of Financial Reporting & Analysis for the Rehab business. The Senior Financial Analyst will focus on being a critical finance partner to CBI Health’s Regional Directors & Managers, the owner of the clinic budgets and forecasts for their region, an identifier of key insights to enable improved operating performance, and a “translator” of financial performance into operational priorities and KPIs by clinic.

Take an inside look at what you’ll do each day

  • Establish strong relationships with Regional and Operations managers within their region; become trusted advisor for respective regions
  • Collaborating with the operations leaders and the Director of finance, conceptualize and build the relevant financial reporting, financial and operational scorecards, and processes that are required for the region’s teams
  • Measure the clinic performance against defined budgets, forecasts, and operational budgets
  • Deliver clear, concise, relevant and timely reporting on weekly or monthly basis, consistent with timelines required by the executive leadership team
  • Leverage data analytics and identify new EBITDA growth opportunities for their clinics (Pricing, Occupancy, Utilization, Service Delivery Models “SDM”. Recruitment opportunities)
  • Develop, champion, and recommend changes to processes and guidelines to meet strategic objectives and targets
  • Prepare presentation materials for the regular review with the VPs of the region, as well as finance Director and CFO
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and undertake continuous improvement projects
  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting in line with accounting standards and other reporting requirements, liaise with external reporting team
  • Take initiative and retain ownership to improve process effectiveness and efficiency by partnering with key stakeholders within the business
  • Participate in special projects within broader operations and finance teams as required

 

What you will need to be successful

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience within finance
  • Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor Business Administration/Management;
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
  • Proven success and experience in financial planning, reporting, and analysis involving multi-unit businesses and complex operating environments
  • CPA designation preferred
  • NetSuite or similar ERP Experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting practices, financial reporting, accounting standards, policies and systems
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to leverage resources (people, process, departments, tools) to complete objectives effectively and efficiently
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written including the ability to influence change
  • Excellent computer skills, especially with Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Word
