Community Occupational Therapist - Prince George, BC

Full time position: Monday to Friday 8am -4pm

What led you to become an occupational therapist? We are seeking an occupational therapist to join our team in delivering collaborative, relationship-based occupational therapy services in the community. As a self-starter with integrity and accountability, the successful candidate would have the opportunity to develop a holistic occupational therapy practice with mentorship and support from our leadership team.  If you are eager to make a difference and you’re passionate about offering excellent care that addresses the diverse health and well-being needs of community members, this is the position for you.

This is a full time or part time opportunity. 

This position is eligible for a signing bonus up to $10,000!

Take an inside look at what you’ll do each day

  • Provide occupational therapy services to people who have sustained mental health, physical, or brain injuries.
  • Meet clients where they are at, in their homes, workplaces, communities, or virtually.
  • Form relationships built with trust, seek to understand factors and facilitators relating to a client access to, initiation of, and sustained occupational participation.
  • Collaborate with clients, employers, funders, and health care team members in designing and delivering tailored occupational therapy services to promote return to work, reintroduction of everyday occupations, and well-being.
  • Connect with team members and team leaders to innovate and improve the quality of the healthcare services we provide.

Here’s what you’ll need to be successful

  • You are a graduate of a recognized School of Occupational Therapy
  • You are a registered member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists in BC
  • Have experience in the private sector and working within the community
  • Experience with Mental Health diagnoses, brain and spinal cord injuries 
  • Hold a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle with a willingness to travel to rural site(s)
  • You are passionate about your profession and committed to ongoing professional development
