We are seeking a curious and dependable  Junior Team Member,Architecture, responsible for the production of outputs related to the Schematic Design (New Product Design & Marketing Drawings), Detailed Design (Working Drawings & Model Details) and Lot Specific Design (Shop Drawings, Machine Files & Batch Lists) all in alignment with the standards set by Caivan | ABIC’s Architectural Leadership Team.

You will Bring

  • Post Secondary Education with a focus on Architecture Technology, Construction Engineering or related field
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Experience with Revit, Cadwork, Cambium, CutRite is an asset


Exceptional Skills Required

  • High attention to detail, organized, and self-motivated
  • Knowledge of proper window folder structures and ability to follow department file naming protocols
  • Strong planning skills
  • Strong computer skills and a keen interest in using technology
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a Team
  • Knowledge of residential construction an asset


Responsibilities

  • Produce drawings, models and details for the purpose of:
    • New product drawings (sketches, blacklines)
    • Marketing drawings (Brochures, Décors, APS)
    • Model specific details (structural details, MEP drawings)
    • Lot Specific files for walls/floors/trusses (3D, 2D, Machine files, Batch-lists)
  • Follow standardized work to produce outputs related to SD, DD and LS
  • Other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, as requested


Working Conditions

  • The job description implies the performance of repetitive tasks
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle are required
  • This is a full-time, in-office position
  • Ability to begin work at 6:30am 
  • Extended periods at a computer may be required
  • Site visit may be required at times
  • Competing demands may create stress
