Full-Stack Developer (technical Lead)

Description

We are looking for a Technical Lead who will operate at a cross-team level, driving architecture, engineering standards, and technical governance across multiple projects. This role goes beyond a typical team-level Tech Lead and focuses on enabling other Tech Leads, ensuring consistency, and improving overall engineering maturity. The ideal candidate is a strong full-stack engineer (Python React) with deep architectural expertise and the ability to guide teams hands-on.

Key Responsibilities:

Architecture & Design Governance:

• Define and standardize architecture patterns and design principles

• Review and guide critical technical designs across teams

• Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with long-term vision

• Drive technology selection and standardization

2. Engineering Standards & Best Practices:

Establish and enforce:

• Coding standards

• Code review practices

• Testing strategies

• Drive adoption of:

CI/CD pipelines:

• Code quality tools (e.g., SonarQube)

• DevOps best practices

• Ensure consistency across all teams

3. Tech Lead Enablement:

• Mentor and support team-level Tech Leads

• Help resolve complex technical challenges

Conduct:

• Design reviews

• Knowledge-sharing sessions

• Technical workshops

• Act as a technical escalation point

4. Full Stack Technical Leadership:

Provide hands-on guidance in:

• Backend development using Python

• Frontend development using React

Ensure best practices in:

• API design and integration

• UI architecture and performance

• End-to-end system design

• Support teams in building scalable full-stack applications

5. Cross-Team Alignment:

Break silos and promote reusable components and shared services

Ensure alignment across projects on:

• Architecture

• Tools

• Frameworks

• Collaborate with Engineering Managers and Product teams

6. Innovation & Productivity:

• Drive initiatives around:

• AI adoption

• Developer productivity

• Automation

• Improve developer experience and delivery efficiency

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong full-stack development experience using Python and React

• Hands-on experience with Python backend frameworks, including:

• Django

• Django REST Framework

• FastAPI

• Flask

• Strong experience in designing and developing REST APIs and third-party system integrations

• Hands-on experience with React, including:

• Modern frontend architecture

• State management

• Component design and reusability

• Frontend performance optimization

• Experience with PostgreSQL, including:

• Relational database design

• Query optimization

• Indexing and performance tuning

Deep understanding of:

• System design and distributed systems

• Microservices and service-oriented architecture

• API design, authentication, and integrations

• Scalable and high-performance application architecture

Cloud & DevOps:

Strong hands-on experience with GCP is preferred; equivalent experience with Azure or AWS may be considered

Experience with GCP services such as:

• Cloud Run

• Cloud SQL

• BigQuery

• Secret Manager

• Cloud Scheduler

• Identity and Access Management (IAM)

Knowledge and hands-on experience with:

• CI/CD pipelines

• Terraform and Infrastructure as Code

• Docker and containerized deployments

• Cloud Run or Kubernetes

• Git-based development and branching workflows

• Redis or equivalent caching solutions

Engineering Practices:

• Strong understanding of application security, scalability, reliability, and performance optimization

• Experience with application monitoring, logging, observability, and troubleshooting

• Experience with code quality and static analysis tools such as SonarQube

Strong understanding of testing strategies, including:

• Unit testing

• Integration testing

• API testing

• End-to-end testing

• Knowledge of secure coding practices and common application security standards

• Experience with code reviews, coding standards, and engineering best practices

• AI & Modern Stack (Good to Have):

• Exposure to AI/ML or LLM-based solutions

• Familiarity with agentic development / automation frameworks

Qualifications

• 10–12 years of experience in software engineering

• B.Tech/B.E, BCA, B.Sc degree in Information Technology.

• Proven full-stack development experience (Python React) in production systems

• Experience in leading multiple projects or mentoring Tech Leads

• Strong exposure to architecture and system design
