The opportunity

Are you ready to make an impact in Toronto’s dynamic building industry? BPA is seeking a Mechanical Building Engineer passionate about delivering innovative mechanical systems, with a focus on new construction, interiors renovation and building retrofit work primarily in the Commercial Office Sector.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with internal and external teams, coordinate project efforts, and support clients through every phase of design and construction. Your technical expertise, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills will help ensure high-quality, efficient building solutions. Your daily impact

  • Work as part of a team to carry out building-related mechanical systems design projects for various sectors (institutional, office, commercial, cultural and residential)
  • Technical supervision, coordination,verification and design of various mechanical building systems projects
  • Ensure client satisfaction throughoutprojects
  • Surveyexisting installations
  • Analyze,design and adapt building-related installations
  • Help write proposals in collaboration with business development
  • Interdisciplinary coordination withexternalprofessionals
  • Assess the construction cost budget, set fees andschedulesMonitor projectwithaccounting
  • Writespecifications and technical reports
  • Provide assistancein regards to site supervision

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • A minimum ofyears of experience in a consulting firm with building projects.
  • Solid knowledge of Ontario/Canadian building codes, construction practices, andpermitting processes.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario, or eligible for licensure with PEO.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail and strong commitment to quality.

Salary range:$80,000 – $100,000 per year, with final compensation determined based on experience, qualifications, scope of the role and geographic location.
