Description

What are your contributions to the team?

  • Step into the role of Identity & Access Management (IAM) Manager within the Cyber Security team, taking full ownership of the design, implementation and governance of identity and access management systems and processes.
  • Proactively lead, energize and hold accountable a team of identity and access management professionals — recruiting and coaching top talent, setting demanding performance objectives, and building the skills and capabilities needed for today and tomorrow; cultivate a high-performing, accountable team culture that relentlessly delivers results.
  • Own the end-to-end operation of identity systems, anticipating issues before they surface and driving internal stakeholders and support organizations to design, deploy, and operate identity systems in line with business requirements.
  • Set and drive the multi-year IAM strategy and roadmap, challenging the status quo, making decisive calls on technologies and investments, and transforming identity and access management systems and processes to deliver Bombardier’s business objectives.
  • Identify, engage, and influence senior and challenging stakeholders across a large, diverse, global organization — navigating competing priorities, resolving conflict, and building the alignment needed to move decisions forward.
  • Drive change across multiple areas of the business, overcoming resistance, securing buy-in, and ensuring adoption of new identity capabilities, processes, and ways of working.
  • Hold the team accountable for designing identity and access management systems that meet cyber security objectives, remain aligned with policy and regulatory requirements, and operate in a secure and compliant manner.
  • Take command of large-scale identity transformations and system deployment, owning scope, budget, resourcing, and risk, removing roadblocks, and ensuring successful delivery.
  • Champion modern, secure access — for example, expanding usage of multifactor authentication, strengthening privileged access management, and streamlining single sign-on — to reduce risk and improve the user experience.
  • Pioneer identity solutions for emerging areas, including non-human identities (service accounts, workloads, APIs, bots, and AI agents), and evaluate and apply AI in identity management (e.g., access analytics, risk-based decisions, automated access reviews).
  • Drive enterprise IAM assessments and own the IAM architectures and roadmaps, guiding the team in translating business requirements into sound technical designs and reviewing and approving key architectural decisions.
  • Serve as the accountable domain owner and trusted advisor for all guidance and direction related to identity and access management (people, process, technology), establishing and enforcing IAM standards (incl. life cycle management, directory services, data security, authoritative sources, access certification, synchronization, identity governance).
  • Direct and oversee the design, planning, implementation, and support of strategic IAM initiatives, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery aligned with business priorities.

How to thrive in this role?

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or relevant field of study.
  • Recognized Security Certification such as CISSP, CSSP, CISA, CISM and CCNA.
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in Cyber Security.
  • A minimum of 10 years hands-on experience implementing IAM, IGA, PAM, PKI and SSO solutions.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience managing and developing a team of technical professionals, including performance management, coaching, and career development.
  • Self-motivated, proactive go-getter who takes initiative, leads from the front, and drives results without waiting for direction.
  • Proven leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to set strategy, influence senior and challenging stakeholders in a large, diverse organization, and drive change across different areas of the business.
  • Deep expertise in identity governance and administration, including access life cycle management, access certification, and role and policy governance.
  • Strong knowledge of privileged access management, single sign-on, federation, and managing secure access across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with multifactor authentication and passwordless approaches (e.g., FIDO2, passkeys).
  • Exhibit knowledge of how AI applies to identity management, with the curiosity and drive to apply it responsibly.
  • Experience driving solutions for non-human identities (service accounts, workload and machine identities, API credentials, AI agents).
  • Technical skills and extensive experience of identity systems (IGA, LDAP, PKI, Active Directory, PAM, SSO, MFA).
