Analyst

A career in Financial Markets Operations within the large Market Events team at National Bank means acting as a specialist in securities distributions and market events processing. This role allows you to make a meaningful impact on our organization through your knowledge of financial products, operational controls, and process improvement. You will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely execution of market events while contributing to the transformation and optimization of operational processes.

Your role

• Process distributions generated by securities while considering deadlines, product and client characteristics, tax withholdings, currency conversions, and exception management.
• Monitor operational activities, including reconciliations, discrepancy resolution, and collection of amounts due, while ensuring compliance with established policies, standards, and procedures.
• Produce operational reports and statistics and maintain the accuracy, quality, and integrity of data.
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal partners and stakeholders involved in processing activities.
• Recommend improvements to systems, controls, and workflows by analyzing operational data and identifying optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate in the development, testing, and implementation of new systems, tools, and operational processes.

Within the Dividends sector of the Market Events department, you are part of a team of approximately fifteen colleagues and report to the Director. Requirements

• Hold a three-year college diploma, university degree, or equivalent academic background and have at least four years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrate knowledge of securities, market events, and financial products.
• Have experience in operational processing, reconciliation activities, or financial services operations.
• Demonstrate the ability to analyze complex data and identify discrepancies.
• Have experience using reporting tools and maintaining data integrity.
• Possess knowledge of operational controls, compliance requirements, and risk management practices within financial services.
