JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Overview

ATCO Frontec is seeking a dedicated and results-driven Foreman to oversee daily maintenance and facility operations while serving as the primary point of contact for the client. 

The Foreman is responsible for coordinating preventive, corrective maintenance and Additional work request activities, managing site personnel and subcontractors, maintaining strong client relationships, supporting operational excellence, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, company policies, safety requirements, and performance expectations.

The successful candidate will provide leadership, direction, and technical oversight to maintenance personnel, trades, subcontractors, and other technical staff while ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery. 

This position is located in-office in Calgary, AB with travel to client/project sites as required.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee preventive maintenance activities to ensure facility and equipment reliability.

  • Manage and prioritize corrective maintenance & AWR work orders and ensure timely completion.

  • Coordinate, schedule, oversee, and perform quality inspections of subcontractor services.

  • Assign work orders and daily tasks to maintenance technicians, trades personnel, and other technical staff.

  • Prepare and manage work schedules and shift rotations for maintenance staff and self.

  • Request, coordinate, and oversee trade-specific maintenance, repair, and specialized service work.

  • Lead and participate in daily, weekly, and monthly operational and performance meetings with clients and stakeholders.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client.

  • Manage and respond to after-hours calls, emergency service requests, and operational incidents.

  • Administer site-specific access control requirements, contractor onboarding, and safety orientation processes.

  • Maintain site inventory, consumables, tools, and critical spare parts.

  • Supervise all site employees and contractors, providing leadership, coaching, performance management, and quality control oversight.

  • Monitor and track service performance to ensure compliance with daily, weekly, monthly, and annual contractual obligations.

  • Ensure achievement of all applicable ATCO and client KPIs.

  • Support business continuity and operational excellence.

  • Prepare operational reports and performance summaries.

  • Ensure 100% delivery of services and project requirements in accordance with contractual obligations.

  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Journeyman Certification in a related trade (Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical)

  • Minimum 10 years of maintenance or facilities operations experience including 5 years of supervisory experience.

  • Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance programs.

  • Experience managing employees, trades personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and service providers.

  • Strong understanding of occupational health and safety requirements.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with CMMS and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Valid Class 5 Driver License

  • Must be able to pass extensive background check, and drug & alcohol testing

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance
