We are looking for a Floor Layer (Construction Worker/Journeyperson Floor Layer) to join our manufacturing team in Kamloops. Reporting to the Lead Hand, you will be responsible for installing a variety of flooring materials in modular buildings while ensuring a professional, durable finish that meets our quality standards.
Job Responsibilities:
Install flooring materials such as vinyl, laminate, carpet tiles, linoleum, and rubber flooring in modular buildings.
Prepare subfloors by cleaning, leveling, and applying underlayment as required.
Measure, cut, and fit flooring materials accurately to specifications.
Apply adhesives and ensure proper bonding and installation.
Inspect completed work to ensure quality, alignment, and finish.
Repair or replace damaged flooring when required.
Review floor plans, work orders, and daily production schedules.
Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition.
Work closely with other trades and production teams to complete projects efficiently.
Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing standards.
Job Qualifications:
Ticketed or unticketed Floor Layer with2+ years of flooring installation experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Experience installing a variety of flooring products, including vinyl, laminate, and carpet tile.
Ability to read drawings, measurements, and layout specifications accurately.
Experience in construction, manufacturing, modular, commercial, or industrial environments.
Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical ability to kneel, bend, stand for extended periods, and lift heavy materials.
Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
