We are looking for a Floor Layer (Construction Worker/Journeyperson Floor Layer) to join our manufacturing team in Kamloops. Reporting to the Lead Hand, you will be responsible for installing a variety of flooring materials in modular buildings while ensuring a professional, durable finish that meets our quality standards.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Install flooring materials such as vinyl, laminate, carpet tiles, linoleum, and rubber flooring in modular buildings. 

  • Prepare subfloors by cleaning, leveling, and applying underlayment as required. 

  • Measure, cut, and fit flooring materials accurately to specifications. 

  • Apply adhesives and ensure proper bonding and installation. 

  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality, alignment, and finish. 

  • Repair or replace damaged flooring when required. 

  • Review floor plans, work orders, and daily production schedules. 

  • Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition. 

  • Work closely with other trades and production teams to complete projects efficiently. 

  • Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing standards.

Job Qualifications: 

  • Ticketed or unticketed Floor Layer with2+ years of flooring installation experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

  • Experience installing a variety of flooring products, including vinyl, laminate, and carpet tile.

  • Ability to read drawings, measurements, and layout specifications accurately.

  • Experience in construction, manufacturing, modular, commercial, or industrial environments.

  • Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Physical ability to kneel, bend, stand for extended periods, and lift heavy materials.

  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
