Early Careers Launch - Account Management

Commercial Risk

Role Type: New position

Launch Your Career in Account Management

Aon is looking for soon-to-be graduates and recent graduates to join our Early Careers Launch Development Program in Account Management. You do not need to be an insurance expert on day one. Through our Launch Program and on-the-job learning, you will learn how Account Managers help clients manage risk, coordinate service needs and make better decisions that support resilience and growth.

As an Account Manager, you will build the skills, confidence and client-service knowledge needed to support account activity, coordinate renewals, manage documentation and serve as a credible point of contact for clients and internal partners.

Available location: Montreal

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. This role is not eligible for sponsorship, and we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa or work permit.

Aon is in the business of better decisions

At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world. As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive team and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.

What is Account Management

Account Management helps clients stay informed, supported and prepared throughout the insurance and risk management process. Account Managers work with clients, Brokers, Account Executives and internal service teams to coordinate account activity, support renewals, manage client requests and help deliver high-quality client service.

By combining relationship-building, organization, risk awareness and technology-enabled workflows, Account Managers help keep client service moving and support the long-term retention and growth of client relationships.

What You Will Do

As an Account Manager, you will build hands-on account management experience while developing an understanding of how risk, clients, markets and service teams come together to create value for clients. Technology, including AI-enabled tools and global delivery teams, increasingly supports routine processing, allowing Account Managers to focus earlier on judgment, client guidance, workflow orchestration and account retention and growth.

Analyze Risk and Support Client Insight

  • Assess client exposures using data, analytics and risk information while learning to validate and contextualize technology-supported outputs.

  • Partner with Broking teams to support program recommendations, coverage solutions and client-ready insights.

  • Develop proficiency in insurance concepts, risk mitigation and the Aon Value Proposition.

Support Account Management and Renewals

  • Support assigned accounts by coordinating renewals, client requests, contract reviews, policy documentation and account workflows.

  • Track client open items, follow up on day-to-day inquiries and help maintain timely, accurate information flow between clients and internal teams.

  • Build workflow-management discipline across multiple accounts, deadlines and deliverables.

Build Client Communication and Advisory Skills

  • Participate in client meetings, presentations and follow-up activities with growing confidence.

  • Use technology, data analytics and risk insights to translate complex information into clear guidance, reports and recommendations tailored to client needs.

  • Build trust as a consistent, credible point of contact while developing client and internal relationships.

Coordinate Projects and Improve How Work Gets Done

  • Coordinate service workflows across Account Executives, Brokers, client teams, Premium Accounting, operations and global delivery partners.

  • Review documents and client materials for accuracy, consistency, coverage alignment and quality before they are used with clients or internal partners.

  • Identify opportunities to improve account-servicing workflows and support efficient client delivery.

Additional responsibilities - Aon M&A and Transaction Solutions (AMATS):

  • Review insurance, claims and exposure information as part of transaction due diligence.
  • Analyze coverage, risks and claims trends to identify key issues and potential deal implications.
  • Prepare diligence reports, summaries, follow-up questions and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate project deliverables and collaborate with clients, brokers, actuaries and other specialists.
  • Build technical knowledge of commercial P&C insurance, transaction risk and M&A while applying Aon quality standards.

The Launch Development Program

Launch is a structured 10-month Early Careers development program that combines meaningful work, business learning, professional development and relationship-building across Aon. The program helps you build a strong foundation for a long-term account management, client service and advisory career through:

  • On-the-job learning with Account Managers, Account Executives, Brokers, client teams and solution line specialists.

  • Business and professional development in Commercial Risk, client service, communication, collaboration, problem solving and commercial awareness.

  • Exposure to data, analytics and technology that support risk assessment, account workflows, service coordination and client-ready recommendations.

  • Networking, mentorship and coaching opportunities to build relationships across Aon and develop your career path.

What Will Help You Succeed and Grow

We are looking for candidates who are curious, motivated and excited to learn. Through the Launch Program, you will continue developing the same skills and capabilities that support a successful account management, client service and advisory career, including:

  • An interest in business, risk, insurance, client service, account management, analytics or commercial markets.
  • A desire to pursue a career in Account Management, Commercial Risk and client service.
  • French / English bilingualism required due to frequent interactions with clients, colleagues, or partners based in Quebec, other Canadian provinces and/or internationally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical and critical thinking, problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • A collaborative mindset, alongside initiative, adaptability and a willingness to contribute as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Confidence using technology and a willingness to learn new tools, internal AI platforms and technology-enabled ways of working.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues, clients and external partners.
  • Initiative and a commitment to continuous learning, growth and professional development.
