At Alstom, we build what millions depend on daily - rail transportation systems that can't afford to fail. We're more than 85,000 people worldwide creating the industry's most diverse portfolio: high-speed trains, metros, trams, maintenance services and integrated systems.
Take on a new challenge and apply your maintenance and leadership expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative and dedicated team of professionals.
You'll play a key role in ensuring our commuter coaches and locomotives are ready to provide reliable, safe, and efficient service. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including Equipment Maintainers, Electrical and Mechanical Technicians), plan and organize work schedules, and ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and within maintenance guidelines.
You’ll specifically take care of assigning staff to trip, brake tests, and servicing equipment for revenue train service, but also oversee the timely repair and maintenance processes.
Reviewing workloads and assigning appropriate staff to complete repairs, maintenance, and inspections in a timely fashion
Monitoring equipment servicing and repairs by auditing staff and completed tasks
Ensuring appropriate materials are on-site to expedite repairs
Planning work schedules and assignments to ensure compliance with maintenance guidelines
Monitoring work order completion using Maximo and managing employee timekeeping using Kronos
Leading and supporting your team to achieve operational excellence
Post-secondary education preferred, but a minimum of Grade 12 is required
Experience or understanding of managing maintenance teams
Experience in commuter coach and locomotive repair and maintenance processes (mandatory)
Familiarity with maintenance systems such as Maximo and timekeeping systems like Kronos
A completed apprenticeship is an asset
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
This is a full-time, on-site role based primarily in Etobicoke (Willowbrook), with occasional work in Whitby as required. A valid Ontario G driver’s licence is required.
The operation runs 24/7, so flexibility to work rotating shifts based on business needs, including days, nights, weekends and holidays, is required.
Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines
Work with innovative maintenance and operational standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and supportive colleagues
Contribute to impactful projects that shape the future of mobility
Utilise our inclusive and dynamic working environment
Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries
Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning programs
Progress towards leadership or specialized technical roles
Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)
Here, progress isn't always easy but the impact is real. Because the scale is massive, the tasks are complex when the system runs, the train moves, and the city connects that feeling stays with you. And the legacy lasts.
Compensation The expected compensation for this role is $80,000 to $90,000, based on experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
