Buyer/Planner III

As a member of the Materials Group, the incumbent will oversee the planning and procurement of both component and finished goods inventory, ensuring these tasks are carried out in a timely and cost-effective manner in addition to KPI reporting. The incumbent will ensure on-time delivery of customer orders while keeping inventory levels within budgeted targets. Furthermore, they will foster a collaborative relationship with the Sales & Marketing team by engaging in discussions about products and programs.

What You Will Do:

• Planning and procurement of component and finished goods inventory as driven by customer order demand, MRP requirements and Core inventory worksheets.
• Track key performance indicators. Provide reporting as required.
• Sourcing and procurement of MRO and miscellaneous items as required.
• Optimize working capital through the effective management of inventory dollars / levels necessary to meet budgeted inventory goals.
• Continued improvement to on time fill rate trends.
• Adhere to Corporate payment terms and ensure Supplier compliance.
• Support new product introductions at targeted on-time delivery dates.
• Proactively manage purchase order process; effectively communicate potential shortages / delays. Expediting with suppliers to minimize any potential delays to customers.
• Manage the overall creation of purchase orders (ensure proper signatures, authorization level etc.) as directed by Purchasing Policy.
• Identify and implement productivity savings through process improvements.

What You Need to Succeed:

• Post secondary education with 3-5 years’ experience in Materials Management in a computerized environment.
• Must have a solid understanding of Supply chain management.
• Must possess solid interpersonal and problem solving skills. 
• Must have working knowledge of MS office and proven Excel spreadsheet capabilities. 
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to effectively interact at various levels within an organization with a logical and organized approach. 
• Demonstrated knowledge of, or experience with lean manufacturing systems or Six Sigma.

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

• The expected Base Salary Range: $75,000-$87,000.  The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
• Bonus Eligible: Yes
