Reporting to the Director, Space Integration-North Sector, the Program Manager leads a team responsible for optimizing owned and leased space supporting corporate and community health operations.

Description:

This position oversees a team responsible to develop concepts for infrastructure solutions and/or furniture modifications to support the delivery of services aligned with the vision, mission and business plans of agencies and corporations served. The Manager will develop and maintain positive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders including Public Health Corporations, Public Health Agencies and Ministries. The Manager is responsible to: Lead a team in the development and coordination of project specific complex and integrated accommodation strategies for community and office/administrative space (non-clinical), ranging from site specific solutions to sector/regional considerations. Implement furnishings reconfiguration/moves to ensure the effective utilization of space inventory. Lead the development of both short- and long-term accommodations strategies, policies and procedures within the North Sector. This work is coordinated closely with the Real Estate teams ensuring the use of owned and leased facilities is maximized and the workspace needs of clients are met both currently and in the future through comprehensive planning services. Lead the concept development of small to medium sized non-clinical projects including tenant improvements, capital upgrades, as well as staff moves, adds, changes in accordance with all applicable HSS policies, procedures and standards. Develop strategies, policies, and procedures for effective project development that not only meet client needs and the overall health services plan but are also fiscally responsible. Ensure standards for the design and fit-out of space, both clinical and administrative, are applied consistently across owned and leased sites.

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 10 years progressively responsible experience in infrastructure space management and accommodation planning, preferably including experience in healthcare or other large institutional, publicly funded environments of significant size, complexity, and diversity. The incumbent will demonstrate a clear pattern of professional and personal development.

Ability to lead a diverse group of professional staff and advise senior executive and external consultants on complex, occasionally confrontational, confidential, potentially stressful challenges or projects; and to bring a professional, focused approach in communications.

Preferred Qualifications:

A related Diploma, Bachelor, or Masters’ Degree preferably in the field of Interior Design or Architecture plus designations in project management, planning, or other related area. Experience in strategy, policy, leadership, project and program management.
