Your Opportunity:

We are looking for a clinically experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a passion for learning and teaching to join our dynamic Rural Clinical Nurse Educator Team. The successful candidate will provide education support to nursing staff working in the Med/Surg Department at the Wetaskiwin Healthcare Centre. Description:

As an Instructor, you will be an expert practitioner and key educator in support of both nursing staff and the multi-disciplinary clinical team. You will take a leadership role in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of education for nursing staff including orientation, compulsory and continuing education, and clinical development. You will collaborate with management and internal partners to promote standards of clinical, educational and evidence informed practice. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.

Additional Required Qualifications:

5 years of nursing experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Teaching experience is preferred; adult education experience is an asset. Both surgical and medical experience preferred. Experience working in a rural healthcare setting. Any related instructor certifications are also considered an asset.
