The Administrative Support III role at the KEC Edmonton Clinic provides essential transactional and procedural administrative support that keeps daily clinic operations running smoothly, forming the foundation for patient flow, clinician efficiency, and overall clinic organization. This position focuses on accurate scheduling, responsive front‑line operational support, and reliable data handling — all performed within established procedures and standards — ensuring patients, clinicians, and the care team receive timely, accurate, and dependable administrative support. As the first line of coordination for appointments, referrals, documentation, and routine inquiries, the Admin 3 directly contributes to a well‑organized, efficient, and patient‑centered clinic environment.
As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of a recognized administrative or office-related certificate or diploma program; with recognized course in medical terminology. Minimum of three years of experience in an ambulatory care setting is required. BCLS-HCP required. e-Clinician required. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of computer technology and applications required, including Word, ACCESS, Excel, e-mail, PowerPoint, Internet, e-Clinician, and e-People. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain accuracy, follow established procedures, and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinic setting. Ability to move throughout the clinic to support operational needs, including bending, reaching, and standing for periods; must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. for tasks such as stocking supplies, moving files, or supporting clinic setup.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in a high-volume, time-sensitive organization an asset. Experience working with seniors and their family supports an asset.
