The Evidence, Policy and Governance Branch, under the Labour Workforce and Strategies Division is responsible for the provision of timely, accurate and relevant labour market information, analysis, and insights to inform policy decisions.

The Chief Labour Economist and Senior Manager has a critical role in providing accurate, timely Labour Market Information (LMI), in-depth analysis of trends in Alberta's labour market, and leading projects and initiatives that ensure that Alberta's LMI system is responsive to the diverse needs of its stakeholders, resulting in improved labour outcomes of Albertans.

University graduation in Economics or a field related to the position assignment, supplemented by six years progressively responsible experience. Related experience or education may be considered as an equivalency on a one for one basis.

This competition is for a temporary position based in Edmonton, offering a work schedule of Monday to Friday, totaling 36.25 hours per week.
